Reinstalling Windows, never done it before. Shaddap.

so yeah, few small things wrong with this PC so decided i'll just reinstall windows and start from scratch with it. My problem is i've never actually done it before, so i have no idea what to do. Will i need to mess with the bios crap? Do i need to do anything special with motherboard drivers?

Make a backup of ALL your important files/documents. If your hard disk is partitioned, you can just transfer all files from the OS partition to the secondary partition and then just format the OS partition. Then reinstall Windows. No need to tweak around with the BIOS and stuff. Drivers can be installed ONCE initial installation of Windows is done, which should be easy as all you need to do is click Next and it usually does the rest.

it's a new PC so there's nothing important on it really. the few things i'd want to keep are on my external HDD so that'll be fine. I have another junk PC with a prated copy of windows 8, i might use that to do a test run of installing Windows 7 see how i go. thanks for the help :)
