Wanting to put a graphics card in my HTPC, then realise the PSU in it is only 380w, and the card i wanted to get required 300w. So wondering, what would be the best card for it?

The fastest graphics card without a power connector is the Radeon 7750.  I'm not saying you have to go without a power connector, but the 7750 would be virtually guarenteed to work (avoid the slow DDR3 version, only get GDDR5).  The fastest with only one 6-pin connector is the GTX 660 (non-Ti).  That might or might not work.  I'd do some research on both your particular PSU, and on GTX 660's in low wattage systems in general.  The performance inbetween these cards, more or less:

Radeon 7750 / GTX 650 (non-Ti) (same performance, the 650 has a power connector and uses barely more power)
Radeon 7770
GTX 650 Ti
Radeon 7790
GTX 650 Ti Boost / Radeon 7850 (same performance, the Radeon uses less power though)
GTX 660

Although the GTX 650 Ti Boost is only a few bucks more than the 7790 and significantly faster, keep in mind it uses notably more power.  If I were a betting man I'd say the 7790 working is nearly a "sure thing" assuming you have a 6-pin connector on your PSU.  Its performance to wattage ratio is the best of any card in the modern era.  The GTX 650 Ti Boost, meanwhile, has the best performance to price ratio in the current market place.  But the power usage is more questionable on 380 watts.  Do some homework, but that range I gave you should be where you target your search.

Here's some food for thought:

I should of mentioned this in the first post. It's a micro ATX case.

Then look for tiny cards of the aforementioned and check your dimensions, duh.  MicroATX doesn't always mean you need low profile - that's for you to find out.

=P

But if you do need low profile, Radeon 7750 is about the best you can get.
