Goddammit, I'd almost buy a Wii U for this.

They used the Xenogears X at the end O.o

No answer, must be that deaf bitch.

I really need to get my hands on Xenoblade, but not at the $100 it's going for.

If EA can release FIFA14 on the f'ing PS2 and Wii, Nintendo can reprint Xenoblade.

Xenoblade is superb. So I'm naturally really curious and excited about this game.

The Joker
Infernal Spawn of Evil

This is my most anticipated game at the moment. It's like Xenoblade HD with flying mechas, just reeks of awesome.

I'd buy a WiiU just for this...as long as it's not a MMO.

Crono
Crono can cross dimensions too!

I said it in another thread but here it is again. (Just saw responses though)

Doesn't that red X look more like Xenogears than Xenoblade in the title?

And yeah, this is going to be one of the three games that makes me buy a Wii U.

Currently Playing: Dark Cloud 2: 3 hours.
Also Playing: CT, FF VI, Solatorobo, Secret of Mana, Halo 4.
Just Finished: Fable II: 7 hours.

I just shit my pants. Xenoblade was the most beautiful game I ever played, and that just blew it out of the water.

Monolithsoft know how to do visuals right.  Xenoblade on the Wii looked better than almost any PS360 game (even if you needed Dolphin to really make it shine in 1080).  Just by giving them a console on par with the PS360... wow.  As much as I was excited by the visuals for the Xbone and PS4 yesterday, the short Nintendo Direct trailer for this game just blew me away visually more than any of those games.  Monolithsoft are breaking the laws of consoles and are somehow a generation ahead of their actual platform.

Of course I loved the story, gameplay, and music too.  They kept me hooked and engaged in the beatiful world.  If they keep their high standards, I may have to eventually bite on the WiiU.

Xenoblade has a very stylish world visual with vibrant colors and contrast.  The new game seems almost straight up sci fi and it's throwing me off a little bit.  I'm hoping they'll change that but if not, at least keep the exploration from Xenoblade!

If you get past all the mechs, the world still appears as vibrant and colorful, there's just a like more mechon flying about.

I haven't had a chance to view the trailer, but I'm hoping it's not a direct sequel, unless it's set in the future or something.  I also hope they make the sidequests a lot more interesting.  I love the main quest, but all the tedious sidequesting is too much.

All they have to do is seperate the collection quests from the real sidequests into two seperate lists, and whaalaah, problem solved. just ignore the collection quests if you dont want to do them, but if you still want to do 'fun' (I use the term loosely since i considered them all fun really)  sidequests you have them in a list there for you too, everybody wins.

xenoblade didn't have a problem of sidequests. they just weren't sorted on your list. had they been there would have probably been no complaints.  as someone who finished every sidequest besides one (ARRRGGH) I can tell you the game had more notable sidequests than 95% of RPGs out there. It's just that they were hidden in the fluff.  A sorted list of collection quests vs the good ones (where you get bonus dialogue or secret parts to dungeons) and so forth) would take care of people who want sidequests but were overwhelmed by the quantity.

If that's not enough for you than you just don't care for sidequests at all in which case you should ignore it completely anyway and there's no disadvantage to you that hundreds will exist. It's one thing if extra content gets in the way (as I can understand too many quests clouds the fun ones away) but i would never understand why it would be bad too have a bunch of bonus content some players can ignore if they aren't interested.

I think what bothers me most is the time-limited ones, because I feel obligated to complete them before a certain point or I will never be able to. If they could eliminate or greatly limit those, I'd feel a lot better about it, because I could do them when I feel like it.

I do agree there is a lot of great story stuff worked in there, I'm doing Frontier Village right now and I really am getting to know those scruffy little guys...  But yeah, it's the simple 'go kill X monsters or collect X item ones' I find pretty boring.  There's always a reward and sometimes it's good but my time is at a premium so I feel those are less worth it.

If the quests were organized by type, where you know which ones are cool story bits and which are simple fetch quests, I'd probably feel a lot better about it.  Let's hope they've learned some things they can apply to this new game!
