I'm already planning to get it even if they don't fix the minigames. :D It's been way too long since I've replayed FFX, and it's one of my favorites.  It's been longer than any of the other FFs. Of the ones I'm willing to replay, I mean. Which does not include XII or XIII.

Fuuko Sakurada
Momoia =D

I think Persona 4 Golden alone is enough reason to buy a PSVita; I know that most people have played the PS2 version, but I only played that one and it's one of the best RPG I've played in a long time. Also, the screen is so awesome and clear, it's just too bad that there's like no games on it =P back in the day, my decision to purchase one was influenced by the fact that they had said they would release the HD remakes of FF10 and 10-2, so I'm excited about this too.

...haven't played FF10 or 10-2 in a while and I'll definitely be waiting for this to come out to play again ( I always replay old awesome games when it's been a while )...

I wonder how much they're going to charge for that though, since the PS3 version has them bundled ...I want a release date already D=

Kotaku: end credits will include a new 30 minute ending cutscene.

Because fuck you. Fuck all of you. Forever and for all time.

Formerly Kenshin

There's speculation that the game will be coming out sometime in mid October.  I really wanted the Vita version of the game but I don't want to have to pay twice the amount I would pay for just the PS3 version.

WTF.  I hope the extra cutscene is in FFX-2 and not the first game.  I can already pretend the second one doesn't exist.  I don't need SE messing with the canon of the original.

Just watch. It's going to be a spaceship flying across space from Spira to FFVII's world. And Genesis will be piloting it.

I...god, I don't know. They did mention Shinra was named that for a reason.

Goddammit, SE.

So right now I'm realizing that maybe I missed a terrible crossover at some point. Did FFVII actually have a real historical crossover into FFX instead of just the usual crossover ideas and names and whatnot?

I've been there, hombre.

^From the Wikipedia article on Spira:

Pyreflies as an energy source

Aside from the various commonplace technological applications of pyreflies seen in Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, within the latter game's story these "bundles of life energy" are used as a source of raw energy to empower the giant machina, Vegnagun. Furthermore, Shinra of the Gullwings suggests that the life energy flowing through Spira on the Farplane could possibly be harnessed for the purpose of supplying electricity to a city.[18] This use of spiritual energy to power technology has been used in several other games of the Final Fantasy series, most notably Final Fantasy VII, where the planet's Lifestream (the massive collective of that world's spiritual energy) takes the form of tendrils of flowing green energy. Through both natural and artificial processes, the Lifestream condenses into mako (??? Makō?, lit. "magic light") and is crystallized into a solid form called "materia" (analogous to Spira's spheres[19]). (It should be noted that the producer of Mako in FF VII is a mega-corporation called Shinra, whose practice of harnessing mako was killing the planet.)

In interviews published in the Final Fantasy X Ultimania Ω and Final Fantasy X-2 Ultimania guidebooks, scenario writer Kazushige Nojima and producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed that Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X-2 share a plot-related connection, in which the Shin-ra corporation in Final Fantasy VII is founded on another planet after about one thousand years, after space travel became possible, by descendants of Shinra of the Gullwings in Final Fantasy X-2. This connection was conceived of only after Final Fantasy X was already finished and realized in Final Fantasy X-2 riding on the success of the original game. Thus, this plot element is not reflected in the gameplay or storylines of Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy X.

Hogwash that the creators have come up with themselves, unfortunately.  I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they tried to play around with the idea more in this new version of FFX/X-2. I swear the "ancient airship" that Cid discovered and uses in Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, the Shera, was intended to be something related to this idea. Where else would such a thing come from in the FFVII history, and why else would they even bother to include such a thing? Cid is perfectly capable of building his own airship, yet he just had to discover an ancient one in a world that doesn't really have any known lost high-tech societies.

Huh, I vaguely remember there being some time-travel shenanigans involved but apparently I'm wrong because I couldn't find anything to back me up!
