One of the only JRPG franchise that actually has the potential to reinvent itself to a AAA franchise (come on it has dragons and funky creatures, last game to have that sold 15m) and this is the one that Capcom cr@ps on. :(

To be fair, Capcom has been doing that a lot to most of their franchises as of late. I think the only one immune to it (so far) is it's Street Fighter series.

I'd hardly call "Breath of FIre" a main franchise or say this is going to make Capcom go bankrupt. It's always been their "Me too" JRPG series and while pretty fun, has had a niche audience at best outside of Japan.

It's a slap in the face to that niche fanbase that's been waiting for over 10 years for a new game. But BoF has been a C-tier series for Capcom at best.

I'd almost prefer a Breath of Fire FPS "to appeal to the Call of Duty crowd" over this social cellphone, very likely "pay/annoy your friends to win" nonsense.

Yeah i'd prefer a FPS to this as well. and im a hardcore fan of this series..just didn't really play much of 5 tho. Speaking of it i actually liked what I did play of it, need to add it to my queue.

Dragon Quarter was an interesting experiment, if nothing else. I've never played it either and I can't tell if I'd love or hate it from what I've heard from people who have. But it at least had the balls to try new things.
