Been playing the demo and enjoying it immensely. The stupid thing doesn't give you much in the way of guidance, but once I got the hang of it, I've been loving it. Anyone else playing it and want to do the friend/sharing thing?

Woe unto he who tries to be helpful, for upon him shall be lain the burdens of all.

Do you get to use a full party relatively early?

They give you a full party right away. Also an array of jobs. It took me about 7 hours to do everything in the demo. They do a lousy job of teaching you the ropes, but once you get into it, it's one of the better demos I've seen.

Yeah, the demo is a blast.  It appears that you can only do the friend/sharing thing locally (on the demo), unless I'm not looking at it correctly.

I went to download the demo but got so annoyed by having to create a nintendo ID thingy to download it that I haven't played it yet. In other news I totally forgot I had $30 credit in the nintendo eshop from doing that Fire Awakening/SMT IV promo thing.

Someone remind me please....

After playing the demo, what exactly will be transferred over once I purchase the full game?

Any of the seven "bonus packs" you get for completing quests/defeating the bosses in the demo will be granted to you once you hit the full game, and you can carry over up to 20 streetpass villagers for your village.

I am loving the hell out of this game. It's the kind of oldschool class act that you really don't see a lot of these days.

Currently rolling with the following party:
Agnes (Magic Fencer)
Tiz (White Mage)
Edea (Summoner)
Ringabel (Ranger)

Overall, the story isn't much but the writing and the way the characters interact is charming as hell. The voice acting being terrible only adds to the appeal for me, for some reason. Plus I have just left the City of Vicious Bitches, and that made me smile.

So there's a trick in the demo which allows you to acquire 20 villagers for Norende that can be moved into the full game.

Aaaaand of course I screwed it up, leaving me with only 3.

So, does anyone if the rebuilding of Norende has any impact on the rest of the game? Like is it essential or anything, or is just a gimmick.

I'm in love with the soundtrack. Enough to make me buy a 3DS and the game.

I'm tracking down a Zelda 3DS XL mostly because this game exists. Walmart ship to store seems to be my only option at this point. This game has sold out at every store in town, I'll have to online order it as well.

This game should've been a Final Fantasy. Square Enix is killing the series and rebirthing it in a different form, I guess. My wife and I have been fighting over it since we got it. This game is THE TRUTH!

So for everyone who got the collector's edition, what is on the soundtrack CD that was included in that version? I heard it was something like ten tracks, are they selected from the OST or is it an arrangement album?

Let's Play Chrono Trigger
Let's Play The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past
Let's Play Final Fantasy VI

I honestly haven't played it yet. I have the full soundtrack, so I'm mostly treating the one that came with it as a collectible.

Gotcha. I've got a copy of the OST coming in the mail. I was just wondering if I missed out on an arrangement album.
