Pretty straightforward, y'all:
Does Persona 3 Portable work on the Vita?
And: I'd have to download it, right, 'cause no UMD slot on the Vita?

Post-script question not related to Persona:

I keep seeing PS VITA 3G/WI-FI BUNDLE and PS VITA WI-FI which is fairly self explanatory, but, like... they're the same price?  So is there a reason NOT to get the 3G?

I guess what I'm getting to realize is that the modern handheld age is wild and scary for an old man like me.  BACK IN MY DAY WE JUST HAD A FUCKIN' GAMEBOY AND YOU PUT CARTRIDGES IN IT AND PLAYED GAMES AND YOU LOVED IT LIKE A BABY.  And now they're all like WIFI and 3G and DOWNLOADS and and and and it makes my head hurt.

So:  get the 3G, which costs the same as the non-3G?  Or.... save no money bu getting the non-3G with WiFi?

Well I don't think the 3G version is any better if you aren't going to pay a monthly fee to have 3G for your Vita.  And as far as I know the 3G version was discontinued, so buying the non-3G version you have a better chance of getting a newer Vita?  Which may or may not matter?

So to answer your question I have no idea.  Love my Vita though!

Yes, Persona 3 Portable does work on the Vita.

Personally, I'd stick with the wi-fi version.  You're likely going to play it in a location that has wi-fi, anyway.

Also, get Persona 4: Golden.  It's an excellent game that, surprisingly enough, adds quite a bit to the original game, even intigrating new stuff into the story and make it seemless.

I'm pretty much getting it SPECIFICALLY for Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable, so yeah.

Okay, I'll stick with the WiFi; I wasn't going to use the 3G anyways, I just didn't understand why they were listed at the same price.

I ended up getting the 3G version but I don't use it or ever intend to do so. The built-in WiFi works just fine. I'm also presently playing Persona 4 Golden, just got the scooter license last time I played so continuing to check out some of the new content. Liking the new social links so far.

I've got a 3G Vita b/c it was the only one left when I went to buy it.

The only reason why I'd say maybe go with the 3G is it's probably one of the original models, and I think someone said the screen in the newer models isn't as nice? I dunno...might want to research that.

Just to echo, yeah P3P works and P4G is good. Get PSPlus membership for free Vita games.

Oh and if you have big hands, consider getting a grip for it or live with the cramps. Same thing as 3ds....

I have a grip that turns the shoulder buttons into more of a trigger sttyle, which is nice. It also makes i easier to keep your fingers from hitting the back touchscreen on accident, which matters for games that use it.

I'll look into this for sure, thanks.  I don't have BIG hands but I've had cramping issues with handhelds in the past, since shoulders buttons became a thing (I'm looking at you, GBA).

I cannot even express how much this thing improved my handheld experience even just with camera-turning controls, holy shit.  I was developing Handheld Claws (TM) after just one night's playtime and this cured that right up.

Good to hear. I have no idea how I'd be able to play without mine, either. It's like they make these handhelds for children or something....
