Anyone excited about this?

I'm trying to decide if I want to ask for it for Christmas.  I enjoyed DA:O.  Didn't LOVE it, but it captured me enough to want to get all the trophies so I guess that's something.  I haven't played 2, which I've heard grumblings about.  Am I missing too much if I skip over 2?

Also heard that this new game will not have any item storage - just your limited inventory space.  Not loving that.

Very much so. However, I have too many other things to do at the moment.

In regards to 2... I really like it, but it's pretty clearly a rush job and it fairly doesn't work for a lot of people.  I adore (most of) the characters and (most of) the story, and the setting, but the gameplay is fairly rote and the re-use of environments is hilariously bad.

I'm taking a wait-and-see approach to DA:I. Bioware has burned me with their last two games, and it's going to take MAJOR positive word of mouth over this game to win me back.

DA2 effectively killed my interest in the series.

But then yesterday's flood of 15,000 glowing reviews brought it back to life like a shock to the heart.

I just need to figure out whether I want to play Far Cry 4 or DAI, but there is no doubt that I will pick up both.

I wasn't expecting the Dragon Age Inquisition.

Sorry.

I have had it preorded but honestly totally forgot about it until all these reviews came out.

Still not sure I want to pay full price.

That's what hahppend to me, so I pre-ordered, I'm nervous because I have horrible luck with pre-orders (Xenosaga II, Shadow Hearts 3, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3 and those only the ones that come to mind right now) but my husband convinced me to take the risk with this one, ha.

Half the reviews are like "DA:I is a hilariously over-the-top course-over-correction from DA2 in the best way".

I'm absolutely loving this game so far. The locations are absolutely massive, there's so much to do, and the combat is a great mix of DA:O and 2. Tactical view has finally happened for consoles! On the negative side, the textures pop in on my 360 as bad as they ever did for the FIRST Mass Effect game.

By times the game looks like absolute shit. I know it was made with next gen in mind, but there are a lot of performance issues I'd like to see hammered out. It requires an install, which is fine, but it works like GTAV where only one of the two disks is installed. This has already led to some hiccups (like dialogue skipping) because of how well/bad my rig reads the disc. Still, they're minor annoyances to this point.

It's really good! The exploration feels a lot like third person Skyrm. For those that don't know, you HAVE to go through the Keep if you want an altered world state. There are no carried over saves in this game.

The one thing that ticks me off about this game is the fact that it was made for HD TV's. The font is so tiny that you can't see any text on tube televisions. It looks like I will have to go and buy one on Black Friday...
-_-

That was a huge problem wiht DA:O as well, it (and ME2) was one of the games that pushed me and my then-wife into getting one.

DA2 was the same way. Really tiny text on the console versions unless you had an HDTV.

I'm either going to get the PC version (assuming my PC is beefy enough to run it respectably) or wait until I get a PS4. I had assumed that the PS360 version would be ass compared to the PC and X1PS4 versions. And it seems I was right to make that assumption.

I was hoping that the rumor of it looking bad on PS3/360 were exaggerated, oh well.

I got it on the Xbox One, so I couldn't import my saves.

Still, I give them credit for giving you the option of creating your world online.  You can do it at www.dragonagekeep.com, but you will need an origin account linked to your gamer tag.

I'm not far in, just meeting up wtih Varric and Solas, but I descovered something totally by accident while looking for loot.

My character can jump.

For whatever reason, that blew my mind.

I thought there's no importing of saves from DA2?
