4 more days!

The reviews have so far ranged from cautiously optimistic to flat-out gushing. The cautious reviews still remain skeptical whether the show will do enough to stand on its own, apart from its parent show. Nearly all of them praise Bob Odenkirk's performance as Jimmy McGill a.k.a. the future Saul Goodman.

Personally, I think that even if it never hits the heights of Breaking Bad (what shows do, though?), it'll still be fun as hell to watch. And Vince Gilligan has definitely earned the benefit of the doubt.

And in case you haven't see it yet, the latest trailer:

Crono
Crono can cross dimensions too!

Count me in as cautiously optimistic.  I just hope it doesn't try to pander TOO much to Breaking Bad; I want something original too.

Currently Playing: Dark Cloud 2: 3 hours.
Also Playing: CT, FF VI, Solatorobo, Secret of Mana, Halo 4.
Just Finished: Fable II: 7 hours.

Holy hell, that ending frame of the pilot.
Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
Tuco.

Promising start, so far, for the most part. Jimmy's struggle against his brother's law firm is going to be a convincing plotline, and his general work in the courtroom should be fun to watch. Not quite sold on the skateboarders/slip-and-fall scheme yet (those guys look like Jesse Pinkman knockoffs), but it did lead to that holy shit ending, and I'd imagine would be Jimmy's first REAL sign of his moral descent in practice.

Mike as the "toll troll". That entire scene was so damn funny.

I've been there, hombre.

I was skeptical of a Saul Goodman show, but these first two episodes have really won me over.

Tonight's episode was Jimmy showing his potential Saul-ness on display. The "type of lawyer guilty people hire."

Really, this show's getting great in a hurry. It might already be one of the best things on TV.

Yikes and away!

I am also loving the hell out of this. It really makes me want a "Rise of Gus Fring" spin-off show too.

I wonder if at some point Gus Fring will make an appearance in Better Call Saul. Establish how Saul already knows about him in season 2 of Breaking Bad as well as how Mike winds up being his top enforcer.

I'm already seeing the Skyler-Hater Misogynist Troll Club misappropriate Kim Wexler and go on about how "OMG she's so not Skyler she's cool and supportive and not a bitch ragablagablah."

I really like Kim in this show. A lot. I really do. But seriously, fuck that noise.
