I just hope A-Force has better art than She-Hulk's last solo comic. Blech.

Looking for a bit of comic book related advice guys. My son as Marvel mad especially Spiderman and Hulk, and 've decided to buy him a few comics to get him started (though as a complete noob even that is daunting!).  Anyway I am trying to find a goodway to store and look after them.  I thought of getting ring-binder folders and having the comics books in plastic sleeves held in the folders.  The hope is that we can print out famous comic book covers and use them to decorate the folders a bit like the Marvel montage pattern you see everywhere.

Anyway the only plastic sleeves I can find are these, but because they are 3-ring binders they only seem to fit in these folders.  The  folders are ok but like I said I'd like to decorate the folders with him so they are a bit more personal.  Have you guys got any advice as like I said I'm in ucharted territory here and don't know much about comic books.  One other issue is that I'm in the UK whichmay make things more difficult as we don't have the same comic book culture over here.

Honestly you should just go digital. Nostalgia seems to be the only benefit to a physical comic these days. You can get a subscription to Marvel Unlimited for not too much, and then you get just about every Marvel comic that comes out on a tablet; you just have to wait up to a year from when it comes out.

I am now saddled with like 5 bookshelves worth of comic collected editions because I was collecting before digital :P

My cousin is the only person I know that collects comics and he recommened the same, says he's stopped buy physical copies years ago.  Because he's still so young I figured he'd prefer physical ones for now and if he does get in to them we'll switch to digital ones.

Huh. I was under the impression even really young kids love reading everything digitally and are perplexed by physical media. Although really I know nothing.

I feel he's staring at screens too much already playing games on phones and watching TV.  I managed to get the Avenging Spider-man comic books from eBay for pretty cheap.  Spider-man is his favourite character and he'll recognise the other characters from the Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy.

Think we'll keep them in the traditional sleeves and store them in decorated box folders, it's not ideal but it should still be pretty cool. Got to say, as a non comic book man it is daunting trying to choose where to start, there's just so many.  Where do you jump in?!

Honestly these days it doesn't matter so much. They're sort of anti-worrying about continuity lately, and every year it so there are soft reboots. I haven't been reading lately so I have no specific suggestions. I wish you could just come take my trades!

It would cost too much for the air mail! :)

Yes, what of it?

Anyone read Monstress here? I've been taken in by the art style, and I'm excited for another hardcover volume. It has some eye rolling dialogue moments, but it is an interesting read, better when you binge it.
