Given this is their last year on Long Island, I think we can all agree the Islanders season will end at the hands of the Rangers. Because reasons.

I am sure they have their team awards. Unlike New Jersey apparently the GM got so made at the team he canceled this year's team awards.

This year is just stupid with parity. My picks for the first round:

MTL over OTT
TBL over DET

NYR over PIT
NYI over WSH

MIN over STL
CHI over NSH

WPG over ANH (unlikely, but if any team's fans can will them to win, it's those in the 'Peg)
CGY over VAN

Seriously, I wish I could be in Winnipeg for Game 3. They've waited almost 20 years to get another taste of playoff. If the wind is blowing the right way, I might hear them here anyway.

I am listening and reading a lot playoff predictions from various sites and many actually think WPG is the team that could go deep. Many can actually see them go over ANH.

My predictions is the same as Big Tall's except that I think WSH goes over NYI and I haven't decided on who takes the VAN/CGY series (though I know it will go 7 games).

Love how little respect analysts give to The Canucks. While I am fine that people think Calgary will win since what matters is the actua playoffs. It annoys me that people think Vancouver is one of the weaker tems in the west.

Just a few facts.
- Vancouver is 5th in the West with 101 points
- The Sedins are in the #20 in scoring surpassing such superstars like Stamkos and Towes
- Vacouver has beaten Winnipeg, St. Louis, and Chicago in the season series.
- Radim Vrbata is 14th in Goals Scored
- Vancouver is 2nd in PK around the leauge
- Vancouver is tied in 3rd in the West for the Most Number of wins and 3rd in the West for ROW's (Regular or Overtime wins)
- Vancouver is 7th in Goals For in the Leauge and 3rd in the West (The #1 in the West even failing to quality for the Playoffs). While their Goal Differential isn't anything great they still rank higher than Anahiem or Winnipeg.
- Vancouver has a 20-10-8 record againts Eastern Conference teams. The 2nd Best in the West only behind St. Louis (but having the same number of wins).

Like I said could Vancouver get eliminated in the 1st round? Sure but to say to call them (or even Calgary) the weakest teams in the west is pretty laughable

That was a really great game 2. Hopefully the rest of the series has that much action. Did they say what happened to Ben Bishop? Was odd how he left the game.
