I almost never watch actual TV.  The only shows I watch on actual TV are Venture Bros and Broad City, and BBCA shows (but there's only really one on at a time between Doctor Who, Orphan Black, and the Musketeers).  Everything else I watch on Hulu.

We did the same thing as Atma; between Netflix, YouTube, and CrunchyRoll we're doing just fine.  To be honest, I really don't miss TV at all.

I've downloaded everything I watch from the internet for more than a decade now, broadcast TV is painful garbage to sit through and none of the streaming services are up to snuff IMO, all the selections are too limited by far.

So I hope you all are caught up on Better Call Saul right now. If you're not, you're missing out.

I haven't watched last week's yet.  But so far.  Meh.  Like I THINK I like the show, but I'm never looking forward to seeing it.

I'm certainly enjoying it way the hell more than AMC's current Sunday night flagship, which is currently locked in a race with Game of Thrones of once-great shows plunging into the depths of full stupidity.

I like to laugh at that show vicariously through the internet.  It's like watching a ship sinking.

Of course, my own ship is sinking into the Varlyrian sea, and my leg is chained to the damn thing so I'm definitely going down with it.

See I've wanted to do that.  I already have Netflix and Hulu.  But we still need to have internet.  And since they bundle stuff it's like once you're paying for internet you might as well pay a little more for cable.

I also use Amazon Prime since I phave a prime membership. You can pay per episode of most everything new that comes up on TV.  Haven't needed a tv for anything. I stopped watching sports because they refuse to go internet.

ESPN's refusal to offer online content independent of a cable subscription, and its refusal to adapt to cable TV's impending decline, will be its downfall before too long.

ESPN's business acumen is so fucking awful they've single-handedly tanked Disney's stock DESPITE the wild success of The Force Awakens.

LTTP on this, but I finally finished Jessica Jones the other night and it's easily the best thing Marvel's done, TV or film.

Jessica Jones was awesome.  Loved Patsy's character.  My two comic nerd nitpicks (or at least the ones I can remember now):

Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
They changed a lot, as they always do, and I'm fine with that.  The change I was disappointed with though was in the comic, Purple Man specifically never touched her sexually.  But instead, he made her want him, made her beg for it, and made her watch while he was with other women.  I don't know, it just seemed like having him rape her was...easier?  Not sure exactly how to put it into words.

And the big problem I have is their "shared universe" - which is specifically not because they have said that the movies will just not take anything happening on the shows into consideration.  Which makes no sense because Civil War/registration should be a very different conversation based on this season of Agents of SHIELD.  But anyway, what was happening with Purple Man probably would have been looked into by Daredevil and definitely by SHIELD.  Patsy went public with it, and I'm sorry there's no way SHIELD would just ignore that.

Better Call Saul:

Looks like the anagram of the episode titles came true ... sort of.

And man ... I know Chuck is coming from the right place, and all, but holy shit that fucker's vindictive. And, ironically, now willing to resort to the same underhanded tactics his brother uses just to ruin him.

SDCC Trailer for Season 7 of The Walking Dead should be out today.  I'm a little antsy, but honestly not expecting much with that cliffhanger muddying the waters.

Now, as I look back I see the crooked path that I had been set upon all those years before, leading me inexorably to this moment. I can still see her face in my mind's eye, poor dear Laura, such a sad tale is ours. A tale of heroes who strove to save humanity only to lose our own.
