This was a hell of a way to start the day.

Somehow, I'm feeling rather 'meh' about this one.

Not sure why.

I was really wary about this movie but now I'm not. If the trailer is anythign to go by it looks like a direct sequel to Winter Soldier and focuses on the Bucky storyline over Cap vs Iron-Man. This is what I want out of this movie.

Okay, I've changed my mind.

This one is going to be AWESOME.

But probably hard to watch since I'm almost certain that
Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
Chris Evans' Cap is going to die and thusly be replaced by Bucky...or heck, maybe even the Falcon. Who knows how close the Marvel execs want the movies to be to the comics.

I agreed with the first thing you said, and I haven't changed my mind.

Anyway, let's see what happens.

I'm not sure how I feel about this movie.  It could be fantastic on several levels, or it could royally suck.  I WANT it to be fantastic.

Chances are it'll be pretty good, like the first two.  None of the Marvel stuff has been truly great but those sit pretty much at the top.

Spider-Man, for me, was the only disappointing thing about this trailer. I love the character, yes, but I'm getting really tired of him as a teenager. A more mature version of him would be nice for a change, especially in the context of these movies where almost everyone is an adult over 30. Hearing a kid's voice at the end of this trailer felt really out of place.

Sijom, that's exactly what I like about him.  If we were getting JUST Spider-Man, I'd agree with you, but I think putting him an a de-facto Avengers joint... his age is what really makes him stand out in a crowd.

Ah but here's the thing, this time he really is a teenager. The other movies had 27 year year olds play him. There's some real opportunity to show how he's the next generation of hero and how decisions that Cap and Shellhead will make can change his life.

I'm a fan of oldschool Peter who's 25 or so and married to MJ, but those days are gone.

Marvel would burn their whole office down before they portray adult-married-to-MJ Peter again.  The fools!

For me, Spider-Man is a lot like Wolverine--
I'm not a huge fan!  But add him the Avengers, give him a team-up to bounce off of, and he just... works.  He's the cheeky contrast to the of the Avenger's (quippy) serious adult problems.

But at this point I'm so invested in the MCU that just having him around earns him about a billion bonus points and suddenly I'm excited for [Unnamed Solo Spidey MCU Film] even though it delayed Black Panther and my precious, perfect cinnamon roll, Captain Marvel.

Honestly I just want this:

And then subsequently, one day way down the line, this:

(That's Jessica Jones he's talking to.)

(I know, the timelines don't let it work, shut up!)
