It's you guys' fault

Anybody mess around with any of these? I played around with a FFT mod, FFT Rebirth, that was pretty fun and mixed up some interesting things. I was wondering if there were any interesting/recommendable mods of other FFs out there that you guys liked.

I liked the Final Fantasy Tactics Hardtype mod from insane difficulty dotcom. It's very well done. There is also FFVI Expert Version 2, which is excellent.

I've played Gjoerulv's "Hardcore" mod for VII. It was fairly good up until bosses started to use Hero drinks -- then it became complete bullshit. I might play it again one day with a few modifications of my own.

I tried the Final Fantasy VI: Brave New World hack for SNES FF3. It's pretty good. They figured out how to individualize spell lists via Esper equip exclusivity, and tweaked a lot of the damage formulas and ability functionality to make more things that didn't work so good work better. They made Stamina (the stat) do something! Lots of things in fact! Sabin goes from "monster" to "fucking goddamn kaiju" in effectiveness though swear to god. Also they fiddled with the script and wanked over Celes a little bit. There are more cute references to other things if that sort of thing bothers you.
