Ugh, it's been a while. I've been looking for FFO and couldn't find it. This place didn't exactly look like it, but apparently, it is.

I joined somewhere around 2000, I think, or late 1999, after having played FFVIII on the PC.

And now I see old names like Cap'n Action and Elmyra being tossed about... I was at the very core of the whole Cap'n Action drama. Such nonsense, but I was maybe 16 years-old... :)

I remember the rest of the drama here very well, and many threads (like the on-going story-oriented one in Fan Fiction), various members, cross-forum wars, flame wars, IRC channels...

I'm turning 31 in two months. It all seems like so long ago.

That was a long time ago. I can't believe how long I've been going to this website. Even to this day when there's barely any action here. It's still a home on the internet that I feel I have to visit at least once a day.

Bump for 20 years. And covid-19. And FF7 Remake. And all that....

I found a couple of the old Final Fantasy: In Depth (and then Anime: In Depth) members on Facebook, but that was all. The old EZBoard community, which became Yuku, has now migrated to Tapatalk, but it still exists. I suspect some of the others may still be there as well, but the ring/links shortcut is long gone so I can't locate them.

20+ years and counting. Hope you guys still drop by once in a while.

Right now I spend massive amounts of time playing RE2 Remake, mostly just for shooting zombies and playing hide-and-seek with Tyrant. Also playing Persona 5 Royal. Sometimes I get overcome by FF nostalgia which makes me pop-in FF8 Remaster or FF15. No, I haven't started FF7 Remake yet.

And once in a while, nostalgia becomes overwhelming. And that's why I'm here now, in this empty club house which used to buzz loudly with dozens of FFO oldschoolers. How've you all been?

I was basically a shut-in before Covid, so thankfully my lifestyle has not had to change much. Been getting along more or less just trying not to get sick as I have some chronic respiratory problems that easily lead to pneumonia. Definitely don't want to catch Covid!

It's been so long since I did any serious gaming. We got a PS2 this summer! Played some of my old games, but that wore off quick. Just don't have in me anymore to play old games, let alone buy a new console and get new games. :(

As for Covid, I'm having to work around people more than ever now, and I'm looking to get another vaccine shot so I can worry less. My mom doesn't believe it is real, but she is shut in. I'll probably have to wear a mask for quite a long time...
