Are you playing on PS4, Mavilu?

If you are, you should be able to connect some headphones/earbuds straight to the controller.

Omg I had no clue this was a thing!!!! I would kiss you as well.

Timing couldn't be better. My GF started a new program taking classes and studying so I'll be playing a lot of games with her in the room. Now I don't have to worry about disturbing her. My goodness!!!!

Yep, still gaming

Ah yes, the volume problem, I had to crank up the volume from the game *and* from the controller settings to get my mid-priced Sennheiser headphones to pick up decent sound (well that and because of the deafness, of course!).

Well, so I finished Senua's Sacrifice, even though I had kinda picked up what pretty much everything represented, putting it all together in the end made me realize what a sad story it is.
I felt sadness to think that there's only so much you can do to protect someone from their fears.
So anyway, didn't restart it right away, but I plan to do so in a couple of days, great game.
Oh, and I meant to say, the combat might be simple, but it is very satisfying, too late I realized I could use a rush-melee combo and I feel like it's something someone like Senua would do (plus it's fun) And don't get me started on pushing the baddies off bridges!

Wound up picking up a Switch. I've got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Ultra Street Fighter II, and Splatoon 2.

The first Switch I got wound up being defective - it would freeze every time you docked it. Luckily the store had another one I could exchange it for.

2nd day I owned it, I took it to work and we played MK and Street Fighter over lunch just like in all those fancy commercials. A good time was had by all.

I haven't played video games like I used to since my daughter was born. My buddy got me into Paladins. Other than Fallout and a few other games here and there it's the frist time I've "gamed" in a long time. Fun to play with everybody over.

Finished Mass Effect: Andromeda a few weeks ago. Disappointed the series is on hiatus. Really enjoyed Andromeda despite its flaws. Learning from the mistakes of ME:A and polishing them up in a sequel could lead to another Mass Effect 2 like experience.

Back to finishing The Swapper and then Persona 3. I'm determined to get myself back to playing one console and one mobile game at a time.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - Great game if you like Uncharted and/or Chloe Frazer (check and check). Doesn't really feel like DLC since it's on its own disc and doesn't even require U4 to play. It's a decent sized jaunt for the price.

Rime - Love this game.

The Wolf Among Us - Pretty good. Different than I expected. Don't know what I expected, really.

Tonight / tomorrow is Last Day of June and LiS: Before the Storm Ep. 1. Then Horizon lined up for second run before the DLC is released.

I went into this one expecting to like it and ended up loving it. I would gladly play a series starring Chloe and Nadine and [spoiler redacted] if that's the direction Naughty Dog decides to continue with.

I'll pick this up but I've never been particularly excited about it.  I'm not as crazy about Chloe as some people (and why'd they make her weirdly ugly now?) and I actively hate Nadine the hollow signal of virtue.

Chloe is a flip-flopper and thus I'm not her biggest fan, and I don't particularly care for Nadine, even if she was the smartest of the treasure hunters in Uncharted 4 for knowing when enough is enough.
I haven't picked The Lost Legacy yet, I'll wait until the price goes down a bit, not particularly caring for any of the girls and having hated the jeep driving portion on Uncharted 4 makes me cautious about this one.

Right now I'm playing The Metronomicon, which I bought on an impulse after cracking up at the sight of a clubbing bear (that's a bear dancing as if in a club, not a bear being hit with a club). It's fun and I like the music, unfortunately, I feel like my eyes are pretty much glued to the rhythm bar and I can't enjoy anything else, not even the clubbing bear, so not only I fear it'll give me a literal headache soon, but that it will also all get old pretty fast. Because how long can the novelty of looking at rhythm bars and imputing the apropiate button commands can last? I thought it would be more like Patapon, where you can actually look at your little guys battling it on (and catching on fire and going "hot! hot! hot!) while inputing the rhythm commands, alas, it's not.

Oh well, when I get tired of it, I'll go back to The Witcher 3 until it's time to pick the HZD expansion (out on my actual birthday, weeee!)

EDIT

Eh, got old already, but at least I got a couple of good songs out of it.

The King's orders are absolute

My brother-in-law recently sold me his Switch and Breath of the Wild so I finally got to try that out. Playing as blind as possible so I'm mostly wandering around aimlessly while taking down bokoblin camps and trying to find shrines. I can see why the game gets so much praise.

Also got some games on sale off the PSN a few days ago so I also just started playing Grim Fandango Remastered. Controls are clunky, which can't be helped too much given the age of the original, but I'm loving the setting, characters, and dialogue.

Let's Play Chrono Trigger
Let's Play The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past
Let's Play Final Fantasy VI

Full Throttle is on sale on PSN this week.  Not sure if it's cheap enough to pull the trigger yet.

Horizon - Doing a NG+ UH run. Not so bad with upgraded equipment/knowledge of machines. I've forgotten to switch from Stealth to Shield-Weaver armor a few times, though.

Eternal Poison - Been playing this for a bit. Nothing special, but kinda cool nonetheless. Had to disable battle animations, though. Ugh.

Keep thinking I should go back and do Horizon NG+.  Maybe I'll do it when the DLC comes out.

Been playing the AC Freedom Cry standalone on PS4, and it crashes SO MUCH.  15 mins of taking down a tough ship and destroying the flag and killing 19/20 enemies and it crashes and I lose all that.  Almost done though.  Then going to move on to FFIX!
