Looks like ToS and the sequel are getting packaged together and given the HD treatment.  Hope this comes out in the US.  I never got to play the sequel.

Crono
Crono can cross dimensions too!

I'll just take your word on that because I stopped trusting long links a while ago. :D  I'd say it's got a chance to come to the US since we ACTUALLY got both original games.  I don't now that I'd pick it up though.  I really enjoyed Symphonia (besides some of it's bullshit confusing dungeons) but my love of Tales games has clearly decayed so I don't know if I should ruin a good memory by replaying it.  The sequal was merely ok.  Actually, it had the worst modern Tales fighting system in my opinion.

Currently Playing: Dark Cloud 2: 3 hours.
Also Playing: CT, FF VI, Solatorobo, Secret of Mana, Halo 4.
Just Finished: Fable II: 7 hours.

Tales of Symphonia hasn't aged very well and the Wii sequel was just a bad game overall.  Though it could be helped out if the HD Remake gives it the later 3D Tales games' free run. It's hard to go back to the 3D lines after that.

Though I still love it for the Desians. "INFERIOR BEINGS!"

Not sure why the previous link wasn't working.  I added a new one.

Don't think we'll get it. Didn't Nintendo publish ToS in North America? They won't hand the translation, etc. over. It would have to be re-localized and I doubt there's enough demand. Unless Tales of Xillia is a mega-hit (which it won't be), this isn't going to happen.

Agreed. This ain't happening, it will be another Japan exclusive.

This seems like a good thread for this.  So I just got into the Tales series very recently... I played Phantasia way back in the day, and have since only played part way through Vesperia and am still going through it, but I've really enjoyed it so far.  Any suggestions as to what I should hit up after Vesperia?

If you have a PS3, then Tales of Graces f would be the next title.  It's a decent game, in my opnion, but opinions will differ.

I enjoyed Graces.  Vesperia is my favorite.  Tales of the Abyss is another popular title amongst fans.  Tales of Xilia is coming out late summer.  I'd look into that one.

I never really liked the Tales games, but I did like ToS if only for the art design which was done by Kosuke Fujishima, of Ah! My Goddess and You're Under Arrest! fame. Sadly though, Fujishima's art wasn't enough to really interest me in the Gamecube version of ToS. Something about the poor battle system really put me off playing more than ten minutes sadly.

Which is a shame, as I really wanted to enjoy it. But if the price is right I might pick up this new version and give it another try, as my PS3 sorely needs to be fed with more RPGs - FFXIII gave it too much indigestion and now it's diet has been rather lackluster lately.

Tales of Symphonia was my first Tales game and really got me hooked. I loved it. Actually bought a gamecube pretty much solely to play it. I hope it comes to Australia, I'd be all over that.

Suddenly excited.  Really love Syphonia--like a lot of people it's my first Tales game--and I'd rather not drag out my Gamecube to have to play it!

Now I just want a Abyss HD for PS3 and the PS3 version of Vesperia and I'll be happy.
