Yeah I saw it. I also saw Jackson at the very start eating a carrot again.

Fucker loves carrots.

Just saw it.  Really good.  Probably the best of Jackson's movies so far.

Definitely the best when it comes to pacing.  Kind of.  It took them two hours to find a rock, but at least with this movie's side adventures it always felt like something was happening.  I felt like the first Hobbit had a lot of stuff that was just OBVIOUSLY a waste of time, instead of at least being entertaining so it didn't feel like wasted time.  This one, not so much.

This movie was awful and awesome at the same time.

I hate it as a Hobbit book fan, but I love it as a fan of mineless action movies.

I understand why Jackson makes thes changes if you put The Hobbit in book form into movie it would be dull as shit for the movie going public so I cant fault him for doing it becasue thats the only way we can get it.

But as a book fan, FUCK THIS SHIT!

This. I just got back from the tehatre and enjoyed it as long as I didn't think back to the book itself for too long.

This is good news for me, because I really dislike the book.

Watched it yesterday with my wife.

That Barrell scene just seemed to go on for ever. I kept expecting it to stop, but nope, instead it just got more silly.

I know how they work

I remember loving the book, but it was so long ago that I've forgotten practically all of the details.  As a result, I had no purity memories to sully the movie.  So I enjoyed it, a lot.

The Great:
- Smaug, gloriously over-the-top
- Thranduil, gloriously diva-like
- dat Erebor architecture
- Gandalf's storyline

The Good:
- Beorn
- Bard being a hottie
- Seeing Kate again

The Bad:
- Seeing Kate in a love triangle again
- Legolas' acrobatics
- Some of the CGI

Is there nothing Legolas won't surf on?

Like part 1, I enjoyed this version more than the book.  HERESY I KNOW.

A little thing, but the roll-credits music was awful.
