47 Ronin - 300 Style

So, yeah, you ever heard the tale of the 47 Ronin? Neither have I, but if you ever saw the Robert DeNiro movie "Ronin", you heard them talking about this.

This, however, is the the hollywood version of the 47 Ronin... done in the style of 300. Oh, and it stars Keanu Reeves.

As silly as it sounds, the movie does look pretty good. And honestly, despite his limited acting I can't bring myself to hate Reeves. I can make fun of him and his limited acting but him starring in a film won't make me immediately go "blah, I'm not seeing this."

Yet another white guy* hero in a foreign land? Mmmmmmm, not sure.

*Yeah, not know Reeves isn't really just a white guy; his dad is a native Hawaiin, but he looks like a white guy.

If it helps, in the trailer they call him a mixed breed.

It better be good for the sake of the studio. Looking at the budget + and the one year delay it's a bit concerning.

Hahaha, oh man. As soon as I see him I can't take anything seriously, but it could be fun in the same way as 300. I mean, I can't take that seriously either, so it's okay.
