Announced at Gamescom, the Vita is now $200. Memory cards are reduced too, though still too expensive.

Also, PS4 is out 11/15 in the US.

Psyched about Vita. I have $160 worth of points on my playstation card. Getting a free Vita is in sight. And since I have PS+ I already have like 8 free games or something.

Nice, I just might own a Vita by the end of the year at this rate. I'm thinking of holding out until Black Friday deals surface online, maybe shave off another $20+ off the price if I'm lucky. The day I can finally play Persona 4 Golden is drawing closer, and maybe by then there will be other Vita games I might be interested in playing.

Let's Play Chrono Trigger
Let's Play The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past
Let's Play Final Fantasy VI

I'm tempted with the PS4 around the corner and that I already have about 10 Vita games thanks to PlayStation Plus, but I'm starting to wonder if there will be a new Vita model next year at E3.

I love my Vita, especially after joining PSPlus.

Persona 4 Golden, Virtue's Last Reward, Uncharted: GA, Gravity Rush, Dragon's Crown, etc. etc.

Plus playing old PSX games from PSN on the gooooo.

If I had waited a few months I could've benefitted from the price drop, but I definitely don't regret buying it at full price.  I love my Vita, and I love PS4G so much plus all the games from the PS+ program.

As long as the price drop leads to more people buying the Vita and hopefully leading to more things getting released on it, that's awesome.  Plus Borderlands 2 is apparently coming to the Vita in some way.

It's good that ti's getting a price drop, but I don't regret getting the Vita beforehand.

But this also means more people can get Persona 4: Golden.

Ngh, I'm torn now. I want a new handheld but had never considered the PS Vita on the basis of price. Now it's reasonably cheap and has PS4G...

But the 3DS has Zelda, Smash Bros and the new Pokemon. I think the 3DS still wins you guys

Yeah I'd still rather get a 3DS but this is more attractive now. Still, my hacked PSP can play PS1 games and there's nothing else on PSV that I want so there's really no reason for me to get it.  Oh, and proprietary memory cards are just as stupid as when Sony first implemented them, especially since I have unused Micro SDs literally just lying around.

Yeah, I can totally understand why some people would want the 3DS over the Vita still.  And yes, Sony still using the proprietary memory cards is still insipidly stupid.  The only reason I'm not more pissed about it is the fact that I got a 32GB Vita memory card for $20, so I have no reason the bitch whatsoever.

Bumping this just cause I'm putting my vita order in tonight!  They just actually reduced the cost of the Vita on sonyrewards to 19000 points from 20000 points, so I have enough now to get it (I just have to pay $13 basically for tax).

Not buying any games for it anytime soon, with the free PS+ games.  Not sure about the memory card though.  I feel like 8 gigs should be plenty looking at the size of games - I don't see why you need to have more than like 2 games on at a time and redownload as needed.  But then why do people pay so much for big memory cards?

I have a Vita so far it's collected more dust than anything else. I was mostly excited about playing Uncharted on it, but that proved to not be very fun due what I found to be extremely annoying shooting controls (trying to orient the screen to line up your reticle).

Mortal Kombat on the Vita was good, and I had some fun with the multiplayer, it even had voice support when you spoke into the system so that was actually a high point. Otherwise I just played a bit of Lumines and a bit of Metal Gear Solid 2 HD. I wish there was more out for it, I should really connect it to my PS4 so I can play Hotline Miami on it since I downloaded that on PSN.

Mine is still mainly used for MLB: The Show 13. I've bought a fair amount of stuff for it, but it's collecting dust on the charger most of the time. Great piece of hardware though.
