This is also my only complaint about the film. However, my complaint is less with the focus on the people and more with the focus on the MUTO's. Less MUTO's, more Big G would have been better IMO.

Agreed. I was behind the angle of focusing on the human drama dealing with the sheer force of nature that is Godzilla/other Kaijus, but the human drama is BOOOOOOORIIIIIIIIIIIIIING

Watched it today. Every scene that involved Bryan Cranston and/or monsters punching each other was totally dope.

Every scene that didn't was shit.

I didn't buy a ticket to see a bunch of characters with no charisma so I was disappointed. The male lead being the worst offender, but even Ken Wannabe and the admiral who are intertaining, were vanilla. Don't know if that falls on the director or the script...I'm guessing both...but considering Godzilla had a much screen time as random Army guy, who even got a name, I say the script.

The Snicker commercial is the most enjoyale Godzilla I've seen in a while.

Rodan, Mothra, and Gidorah are coming.

Am I the only one that thinks Mothra needs ehr own film before getting thrown into the mix? She's only ever attacked humanity twice, one being because the two tiny ladies were taken, which angered her, and second when she was under alien control along with Godzilla, Gigan, Rodan, and Angarius. The rest of the time, she's protected humanity and the Earth, even fought Godzilla a few times when he was in one of his human-destroying moods. So it should be interesting to see how they play it off in these films.

Gidorah needs to be handled like a legitimate threat to the entire planet that it requires a team-up. In Japan, yes, he would attack, but he always kept to Japan rather than just scorching everything in his path. They also need to change his roar to something less annoying. I don't think the audience would want the high-pitched repeated chirping sound.

I think we can all call it that Mothra will be the one to bite it in the battle (since there's usually another egg waiting to hatch.)

This is legitimately one of the worst films I've sat through in a good while. Most of the time when people rave about something and I am just underwhelmed, I blame my impossible to please self...but no, this time it's everyone else. This movie and everything about it fucking stinks.

Yep, I'd be more excited about the new monsters if the first movie hadn't been a complete bore.
