I know this is running on a PC but I REALLY REALLY want the game to look this good. This is mainly tech so don't expect more than a demo showing the game trailer was not pre-rendered. I don't believe they go into detail with what is going on. Can anyone translate or provide useful information discussed in the video?

Graphics are gonna impress me with pretty much anything current-gen and next-gen, so that's a no-brainer for me. I just want it to have a fun battle system, a good story, and not have awkward SUPER-Japanese writing that, when translated into English, makes the voice-acting sound awkward (FF13).

I would love a world map and hopefully an airship of sorts at some point to travel the world map in. I'm not sure anyone at SE has the ability to tell stories like Hironobu Sakaguchi so there is a large chance that the game will not live up to my standards storywise. Gameplay could still be fun as shit though.

I haven't enjoyed a Final Fantasy story since Lost Odyssey. Before that was IX.

Nice!

But damn, these Japanese developers love to over-explain stuff.

I know everyone gets a hard-on for minute details in graphics for today's games, but I couldn't care less about the realistic nature of the weather, like rain forming puddles on the road. It's great to know that graphics have come this far, but it seems like a pretty package trumps excellent story telling in today's games.

Also, I really like the 4 main characters so far. I would actually want to play as all of them, but Gladiolus looks like a boss.
