It's not for me. I'm happy playing on emulators using USB controllers. I'd be into this for PS2 though since emualtion is iffy with them.

Drove for like an hour and 45 mins round trip yesterday because Best Buy's website said they had it in stock. Got there before they opened. Nope, "their inventory system can take time to update." Think I'll email Best Buy to complain - they might give me a $5 certificate or something.

The struggle is real!

I pre-ordered four in irl stores and scalped the lot on eBay. Pretty much doubled my money. If people want to pay retarded prices for shit they can download and buy a five quid usb SNES controller for then I'm quite happy to mug them all off. Pays for some christmas presents.

Don't hate the player, etc. If I could spot this situation happening after what happened with the NES Classic then surely anyone who really wanted one can too. I walked into a regular ol' retail store and pre-ordered one weeks after everywhere online had sold out -- they told me they had loads left in to pre-order. They were all there for the taking.

FINALLY got one on Saturday! Went out to buy firewood for the season, and figured if I took the longer way home I could stop in at Gamestop - just to check. They had one!

Of course, don't know how much I'll actually PLAY it, I mainly wanted to HAVE it. Was loving me some SMW on Saturday (the muscle memory is insane). Checked out a few others. I've never actually played Earthbound, but don't know if I want to play through a whole RPG on it. Also don't know if I'll bother buying the longer controllers. It works fine enough playing it laying on my bed like in the 90s :).

I know it's been a few months but I have seen these things popping up in retailers here and there. One at my local Target and six at my local Wal Mart. So they are out there. And Nintendo has not said they are discontinuing them yet. Keep an eye out and remain patient. Don't bother with internet resellers.
