Fuck Shit Stack.

I saw that earlier. It's an interesting idea to say the least. Gimmicky as all fuck, but interesting.

The gamer in me is like "Eh, neat."

The dad in me is like "AW HELL YEAH."

But the dad in me is also like "My kids are going to destroy those things in less than an hour. Cardboard? Really?!"

I want to say plastic, which would be more durable but less flexible and way less cheap and replaceable--which is why it's cardboard, I know.

I suppose one of the selling points will end up being that you can use just equally thick cardboard if you have the right pattern--and apparently the patterns themselves will be available for free, and pre-marked cardboard pieces available separate from the games' cartridges.

I suppose I hesitate because I know that anything my kids make out of cardboard is going to last a week, tops--probably less, considering how many moving parts there are.

Why must kids destroy the things they love?
My daughter has a stuffed animal that she is inseperable from but man does she treat it like shit.

Atma Weapon
I Am Pure Energy

The nerdy parent could create a 3D digital model of the cut out patterns, and convert them to plastic via 3D printer.

Is this supposed to be Nintendoâ??s answer to the Lego craze?

I have to imagine 3D printing communities will band together to make higher quality versions of these. That said, I could easily see cardboard surviving long enough with your typical kid's attention spans with how non-involved these look.

I love dad jokes.
