Well, for the rest of you still active on here, I did start working on a little bit of the new FFO a few months back, specifically the FF8 section, with a little extra time I had off just to fart around with it. Considering how absolutely dead the forum and the Final Fantasy community is in general, I've made absolutely zero plans to really accomplish anything with it other than to use it as a sandbox for some DB design for other work. If you're interested in taking a peek, let me know.

I made this for you!

Fuck Shit Stack.

I'd be interested to see what you came up with.

I am working on MD again, which I actually want to turn into a full-time gig instead of the sandbox side project it's been for literally 20 years. It'll have fresh content, merch, discussion forums, a membership system with additional content and perks, and at some point video content and podcasts.

The discussion forums will be significantly better (coded in HTML5, CSS3, etc.) and work on mobile devices. Once everything is properly tested and public, I'll eventually migrate that software over to FFO. All the current forum content will remain intact save for any BBCode that isn't compatible. Features such as post votes and achievements will still exist.

This will happen sometime next year, but if any of you want to toy around the MD forums and contribute ideas or bug testing while it's being put together, let me know and I'll send you a link and credentials for access. I don't have that part of the site even started yet, so it won't be any time soon, but I'd certainly appreciate critiques and input. While it's not going to be as feature-rich or as complex as vBulletin or XenForo, it'll still have things that matter and be relatively easy to use.

I'd definitely be up for that when the time comes.

I'd be willing to check it out and provide feedback!
