I feel like I swing by here once a year or so and I'm always curious what's up with you all!

I've been playin the FFVII Remake for the last couple of days and been having some hard nostalgia for this place. Some of the new content in the Remake has me seriously wanting to reopen some old discussion threads and chat in familiar environments with familiar faces.

So, what's everyone been up to other than probably playing the remake? I just moved to Kirkland, Washington to start a job with Bungie as a narrative designer. Right in the middle of a viral outbreak, which was absolutely stupid and the world is on fire but please

distract me with stories of your lives!

Not much. Just had twin boys and am working from home during this pandemic. Not a lot of time to play video games at the moment. But I'm playing breath of the wild for the first time when I get the chance.

Not much going on here. I don't have the proper equipment, so will have to wait for Remake to come to me. Been tryimg to catch up on some classic TV. Watched the first season of Cheers a few weeks ago. That was interesting and entertaining.

^Cheers for the first time? Man, that makes me feel old. It was on syndication all the time where I lived though.

As for me, I lost my home, and went "homeless" for a while, but managed to get out of my crappy hometown, and find a home and life elsewhere. I'm an essential worker, and do art on the sides. Totally worth the hardship to be where I am now.

I don't have a PS4 to play, bit I want to save in case I get fired. You never know, right?

Cheers and I are about the same age. It's been on TV or streaming now my entire life. I've seen many episodes and I watched the finale on its original airdate. But aside from catching episodes here and there in reruns, I've never seen the early seasons with Diane in a systematic fashion, so I decided to sit down and watch.

Still a lovable Canadian. Made mobile games for 7 years. Quit and started a mobile app company with my buds doing apps for museums and galleries. Took some time off and got drunk a bunch. Moved to Toronto for 3.5 years to take improv and did the Second City conservatory. Made no money but it was fun. Moved to Montreal before covid. Moved back to Toronto area to help my aunt turn her custom clothing business into an online mask business.

Life is crazy.

Hope y'all are doing okay during covid. Isolating and playing games got me nostalgic for the old days of ffo.

The local state university has a webcam pointed at the main area of campus which is very pretty and affords an excellent view. Watching that sometimes helps me get past the feeling of cabin fever.

I'm going to the Library for the first time in 7 months today. It is nice to not have to be paranoid of bandwidth usage for a little while. I've been stockpiling games for the next round of Covid though. You know there is a way to get the DLC to Dragon Quest 9 even now? I tried it out, and it worked.

I NEVER thought I'd get a chance to play that stuff.

I'm still playing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. It has been my Covid-19 game. I love it.

In February, I will have been a member here for 20 years...:-o
