Well, just preordered!  I was in no rush for the game and was going to wait for it to drop in price.  But Amazon was doing one of their $10 credits for preordering, plus a bonus Omega boss battle, and I had a $50 gift card.  Figured why not.  Won't be touching it until I at least finish Skyrim and Alice: Madness Returns though.

I think I'm going to pass on this, which for me is blasphemy as I've not missed an entry in nearly 20 years. I read a review yesterday and it confirmed that my main gripes have not been addressed. S-E make games for teenage Japanese boys.  I am neither a teenager or Japanese so I'm not their target audience and it really shows. Voice acting is crap, story is convoluted and makes no sense whatsoever and there is no real exploration at all. I'm passing.

See again, I liked FFXIII.  I had fun.  I do sort of wish it wasn't a Final Fantasy though.  If it was just a generic RPG title, that would have addressed the concerns I had (that it doesn't feel like an FF).  I will say that I'm sure I was more forgiving of it because I really haven't gotten to play any other JRPGs this gen.

EDIT:  Amazon has now upped the credit with purchase from $10 to $20.  I'm HEARING that I should be getting the additional $10 as well, but this guy I'm live chatting with isn't giving me a definite answer.
