OFW vs. CFW

So I have a few signed PSP games which I was told do not work with OFW newer than 6.31 or maybe 6.37.  i'm thinking of buying a PSP Go on eBay and the guy says it has already been hacked to play downloaded games and is running 6.60.  I'm still awaiting his response as to what this means exactly, but assuming he means it has Custom Firmware 6.60 does anyone know if this will play signed Official Firmware games?

They worked fine on my old PSP 1000 but I stupidly upgraded it so I could play some PS1 classics I bought on PSN, and then later got rid of it cuz it didn't read discs anyway.  Now I can't play that really fun Rurouni Kenshin fighting game that came out a couple years ago ;__;

tl;dr    will a PSP Go with CFW 6.60 play signed OFW games?

Crono
Crono can cross dimensions too!

Honestly I stopped paying attention to all the varients in new CFW after the m33 to gen switch (and honestly I stick with m33 because it still does everything with a patch here and there) so I don't think I'll be much help.  I swear that I had read when you sign a game you are signing it to a specific level of firmware so if I'm right on that then no, you won't be able to.  Then again with a CFW you won't need them to be signed anyways so... yeah.

Unfortunately I don't have time to do a full readup but the following link might be helpful.

thanks for the link, i'll check it when i get home since my school has it blocked -____-

i'm not familiar with m33.  do you have a trusted, easy to follow link for some info on it? any time i try to search for any info on PSP hacks i end up with some crazy mess that's only intended for advanced users or either tons of replies on forums saying "just google it" (which, to me, defeats the purpose of a forum, but yeah).  you can send a PM if you'd rather.

Scratch that, I checked the link and it explains m33.  Looks like I can't use m33 on a PSP Go, though, but there seems to be some good alternatives if the one I'm thinking of buying doesn't have good CFW already.  Thanks for the link!

I think it all depends on the firmware the game requires.  When I got Dissidia Duodecim I had to upgrade to get it to play, but maybe there was a way around that.  I'm pretty sure there are patches and whatnot that let you play newer games on older CFWs.  Sorry I'm not more knowledgable, but I haven't been following the PSP hack community much lately and I just had a hell of a time getting PS1 games to work on mine again.  It also seems most of the people working on CFWs have moved on to the Vita.
