Sam Biscuits, itā??s very hard to put a timeframe on it, but I really am hoping to get back to FF7 soon. I have a set of challenges lined up that Iā??ve been working on off and on (but mostly off) for about 4 years, and am very close to the end of one of them.
One of the hurdles is that Iā??ll need to set aside 3 or so full days just to go through my documentation, find and catalog all my relevant save files, get my FF7PC / PSX / ePSXe all communicating properly, figure out exactly what I was doing when I last stopped, where strategically I should go from there, etc.
Itā??s actually pretty embarrassing how close I am to completing one of the challenges. I have the save file preparation about 98% completed, have the overall strategy fully set, and was just working on very fine-tune details at the time the project got derailed by life (school) issues.
The closest Iā??ve come to breaking another FF is FF8. I was (to the best of my knowledge) the first in the world to kill Omega Weapon without junctions or cheating (Invincibility or The End). Traveller is truly the king when it comes to FF8, though.
Kaiser was telling me that I should play FF10, since, in his view, thereā??s a fair amount of work that could be done on it, and no real extreme gamers have yet bothered to excavate it.
