Mac Cube modification

Ive been thinking about doing a Mac cube mod for a while and have stepped up the hunt for a cube. The intention is to rip out the guts of a cube and insert a '09 Mac Mini, together with an Apple TV and possibly my Time Capsule as well, space dependent. I'll be doing a few other mods, black cas instead of white, glowing Apple symbol etc...

Anyone here done anything like this before and has any advice? The problem I'm having is acquiring a cube as I could do with a broken one as I don't need the insides and I don't want to pay much more than £60. Reckon I'll have to get one from the US as there is very few around in the UK. Any ideas where to find them other than eBay?

Maybe hunt around at auctions or liquidation sales for educational institutions whe they used macs. Here in the states most public institutions offload their old equipment really cheap at sales that are publicly announced. I think the best bet is probably eBay though.

Ok, I'll give this a go. Probably better trying to buy them in the US than the UK, many people here seem to think Apple only make phones and MP3 players.

Let me know how this goes - I love the Cube and have been wanting to do something similar for quite some time! I bought a maxed out Cube last year to play Deus Ex, but I had to sell it when I moved :(

I've got hold of a cube for ten pounds and bought the hard drive and Mac mini required but its a case of picking up the other parts when I can afford it. Unfortunately times are tough and its at the bottom of the list of priorities. I'll post photos when I finally get round to building it.
