My priest has been at 90 for uh...maybe a week, week and a half?  About all I've done with her is do dailies (yes, all of them) and some side work on easy achievements.  I've run maybe two dungeons since the expansion launched; perhaps it's jitters because I hated most of Cata's dungeons but I've not been in any real hurry to run any unless it's with a guild group.

I've been working on my paladin as my next lvl 90.  She's currently not quite halfway to 88 and is about halfway done with Valley of the Four Winds.  It's already so nice to have another farm in the works, especially since I still need plenty of vegetables for cooking.

Making money faster than I ever have before what with doing my dailies and questing in general.  I've also been making decent cash selling BoE greens for transmog/disenchantment purposes on my bank mule.

Still having a blast :)

Still haven't tanked or healed in the 90 dungeons, but outside of a couple of encounters, the Lv 90 Heroics are much more like WotLK's heroics in that they're just the level cap dungeons than Cata's when they were significantly more difficult.  I usually bring my blood spec for scenarios though. I like the durability and they still do very good damage.

Blood/Frost Death Knight at 90 has been fairly similar to 85 in terms of gearing and playstyle (though 2H is preferable to DW for frost now. Those Obliterate procs do insane damage), but Paladin's a whole other game. Haste has gone from the reforge stat to the most important secondary stat after hit/expertise cap.

Protection Paladin gearing is especially weird now. I'm not sure if this was intended or not, but DPS plate is actually more beneficial for pally tanks than traditional tank pieces due to the whole active mitigation thing going. It makes reaching the hit cap and expertise HARD cap (seriously) take priority over avoidance stats like dodge and parry due to holy power generation for Shield of the Righteous. Mastery and even haste (due to the new mechanics of Sanctity of Battle leading to faster holy power generation with more haste) are also now more important than dodge and parry.

And this isn't just some musings from people with raid logs or anything. This comes straight from the keyboard of Theck, who is lord and master of protadin theorycrafting.

I hit the heroics pretty hard. to the point i've been justice point capped a couple of times, and gotten all the items i wanted from them. My opinion of them so far has been hampered though by my hatred and disgust of LFD tanks. Just because you pulled everything in the area to top the damage meters doesn't make you good. it makes the healer who keeps you alive good, and the dps who kill the mobs good, even though you continue to run around corners or out of range.

But hey, at least you topped the meters on the trash. We'll just ignore my 200k dps on the boss, you know, where the dps actually matters.

Cult of Personality
Insert witty remark here.

Quite frankly, its people like that that make me hesitant to do a PUG dungeon run and why I want my friends to hurry up and join me at level 90.

I know how they work

I did a LFD run of regular Shado-Pan Monastery, and another DPS posted the recount data after a trash group.  It was like I fell into a timewarp back to BC.

I didn't do any dungeons 85-89 because the queue times were ridiculously long. But at least the heroic queues are much quicker.

And lol @ recount data below 90.

Also what I noticed about PVP gear this season is that you aren't completely boned on secondary stats, so while raid/VP gear is better (higher iLevel), PVP gear is no longer completely worthless for PVE stuff.

Some history lore that I've put in spoilers on the off chance that someone is doing the Lorewalkers stuff the old fashioned way and doesn't want the stories spoiled:

Grummles:
Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
Why are Grummles so great?  Because Grummles are Troggs.  Troggs come from Earthen.  Dwarves also come from Earthen.  Ergo, Grummles and Dwarves are cousin-races, and that's awesome.

The Jinyu:
Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
So when MOP first got announced and the new NPC races started popping up I was looking over my then-wife's shoulder and said, "Wait, wait, go back--is that seriously a sexy murlock?  Did Blizzard put in a sexy murlock?"

I was joking.  Since MOP came out me and some guildies started referring to them solely as the Sexy Murlocks.  Sexy Murlock faction.  Sexy Murlock village.

Fast forward to the Lorewalkers story about the Jinyu, where it's revealed... that yes,  yes, yes, they are in fact fucking Murlocks.

Sexy, sexy murlocks.

Also:  the biggest takeaway I got from the Lorewalkers (other than my sweet hoverboard) is that the Mogu were truly inept rulers.

So yeah, just got revered with Golden Lotus and was looking forward to getting new shoulders. then remembered i need the valor points as well, which i dont have. So that's a new thing i hate. needing the rep and valor points.

At least they got rid of the "Need Honored to buy JP stuff" requirement. That was just silly.

It's frustrating to keep track of what you need for which gear especially when said gear is mostly/completely going to get replaced by first-tier raid gear.  Thankfully there are a couple of JP and VP quartermasters out at the Ox temple on Townlong Steppes that have everything available in one convenient place so you can look at all of it at once instead of crusing Wowhead reputation pages.
