Job Abilities
How does my character obtain skills and abilities from a selected Job class?

The four elemental crystals in the game each possess a certain amount of Jobs your characters can learn. By equipping a Job to a character, ability points acquired from defeated enemies in battle will allow your character to obtain abilities, such as special battle moves and magic.

After learning all abilities of a specific class, your character will have MASTERed those abilities as innate skills. Your character will retain skills of a mastered class even if you change or remove a Job.

J O B   P R O P E R T I E S
Final Fantasy V's Job system allows you to customize the abilities and behavior of individual party members. Various class types are acquired throughout the game. Characters chosen to perform in a certain Job learn and function abilities, battle, and defend in a manner consistent with that class. Certain abilities can be passed on to another skill class, while others remain indigenous to their own.
