Acquiring Esper Experience
How does my magicite gain experience after defeating an enemy or boss?

After defeating an enemy or boss, your equipped esper gains the total experience collected from each defeated monster multiplied by the learn rate of the magic spell the character is currently trying to learn. These multipliers are listed on each corresponding magic on the esper page. Once your character has learned a magic spell, the esper can be removed and the spell will be retained as a magic ability.

 Battle Strategy
A very annoying fight as he can attack several times a turn and kill characters very quickly and easily before you get a chance to even actually attack him. Fortunatly, there's a way around this. As all of his attacks are physical ones, summon Phantom to make your whole party invisible. He'll never be able to hit you, and you're free to kill him at your leisure.

 Battle Strategy
This fight is made especially annoying, because of her Overcast ability. It puts everyone in Condemned status with a 20 second timer. If you aren't able to kill her when that timer hits 0, your whole party will be turned into Zombies, and if should you heal that character of the Zombie status, they will turn back to Zombies whenever their HP drops to 0. Do not equip Zombie protection relics, as they will not prevent this, moreover you won't be able to get rid of the Zombie status should they have such a relic equipped. Aside from that, Goddess is fairly easy since you've caught her in a pincer attack. Just attack her with powerful magic spells, such as Flare or Ultima and she'll go down quickly. Try and get Locke to steal the Minerva armor, as you'll never get another easier chance to get a second one for Terra or Celes than now.

 Battle Strategy
For a boss so late in the game, this one is surprisingly very weak. All of it's attacks can't do more than 1000 damage to any one character. Worse still (for the dragon that is) all of it's attacks are lightning-elemental. So if everyone is equipped with Thunder Shields, he won't even be able to damage you. Have fun and kill this boss with whatever you have on hand. Just don't attack it with lightning.

This fight is very long, thanks to Guardian's 60,000 HP and high defense. Attack it constantly with powerful magic such as Bolt 3, Flare, Meteor, and Ultima for heavy damage. Be wary of it's various attacks, especially when it loads its Ultros program of attacks. Tentacle will do massive damage to a character or the party. Keep the healing spells flowing as you constantly attack Guardian, and be prepared for some unexpected and deadly attacks. If Guardian uses Tek Barrier or Safe on itself, quickly use Dispel afterwards. After a long while of fighting the Guardian will finally be destroyed. If Relm and Strago are in this group fighting the boss, have Relm use Sketch to acquire the Big Guard Lore, it's immensly useful in this fight anyways.

Another undead boss. But don't be so quick to dispatch it with a Revivify or a Fenix Down. Its the only monster in the game that uses the powerful Grand Train Lore, which Strago can learn. To learn it, you'll have to kill off all the Hidonites before Hidon will actually use it. After that, jsut wait for Hidon to use Grand Train, once he uses it, then you can kill it with a Revivify or a Fenix Down.

Equip everone with Ice Shields, otherwise you won't stand much of a chance against this Dragon's powerful onslaught of spells that are all ice-elemental in nature. Hit it with fire-elemental attacks and magic, while having one or maybe two characters heal the party whenever necessary. It shouldn't take long to kill the Ice Dragon if you're prepared for it, otherwise it'll mop the floor with you.

Ifrit is only vulnerable to Ice, and has very high resistance to physical attacks. Unfortunatly, your only source for Ice damage at this point is the Blizzard sword. Use defense piercing attacks like Sabin's Pummel, or Cyan's Dispatch to make things easier. Be ready at all times to have a character heal the party quickly, and don't let Ifrit sit around too long or else he'll hammer the party with Fire 3's.

Striker is the right claw and Rough is the left claw. Don't worry about the claws, concentrate on Inferno. If you use Ultima, Meteor, Bahamut, or some other spell/Esper that attacks all enemies then you don't have to worry about anything. Use your strongest attacks and Inferno will be destroyed quickly. Watch out for it's Delta Attack, which will petrify a character, and Sobat which does a tremendous amount of damage to a single character.
