 Acquiring Esper Experience
How does my magicite gain experience after defeating an enemy or boss?
After defeating an enemy or boss, your equipped esper gains the total experience collected
from each defeated monster multiplied by the learn rate of the magic spell the character
is currently trying to learn. These multipliers are listed on each corresponding magic on
the esper page. Once your character has learned a magic spell, the esper can be removed and
the spell will be retained as a magic ability.

The only thing that can hurt Tritoch are fire-elemental spells. Physical attacks, and any other elemental attacks do little to no damage at all. Have one character heal the party, the rest should all cast Fire spells to attack Tritoch.

Listen to Celes's advice and use her Runic ability to absorb Tunnel Armor's powerful magic attacks. The only attack that can harm you know are it's physical attacks. But if you have a supply of Potions, Locke should easily be able to heal himself and attack Tunnel Armor until it's destroyed.

Placing Banon in the back row is imperative, because Ultros is strong enough to kill Banon in one hit when he's at full HP. The game ends if Banon's HP ever drops to 0, so have him use his Health ability constantly. Sabin should attack with his Blitzes, Edgar should use his Tools, and Terra should cast Fire constantly. After a while Ultros will run away and Sabin will follow after him.

This battle can be over in one turn if you have Sabin equipped with the Fire Knuckle you got in Zozo. If you hit Ultros from behind with it, it'll more than likely kill him in one hit. Enough pain for Ultros that he runs off shortly afterwards.

Don't worry about his HP in this fight, as this battle is a staged one. Just keep hitting Ultros, while healing the party, and eventually Relm will appear. When you use her Sketch ability, she'll use Ultros's tentacle attack that will cause him to run away yet again.

Ultros isn't kidding around this time, this is your last battle with him and he doesn't plan on running away this time. Cast Fire 2 on him repeatedly, and strangely Bio is now hugely effective against him as well. Heal whenever you have to. After Ultros takes enough punishment, he'll call on Chupon to help him out. Keep all your attacks focused on Ultros and he'll be dead in no time.

Umaro's Cave [WoR]
|
Battle Strategy
|
This battle starts when you take the Terrato Esper form the bone carving inside Umaro's Cave. Umaro will come and attack you. Fortunatly, he's not too difficult. Just use fire-elemental attacks, and physical attacks constantly. After taking a certain amount of damage he'll use a Green Cherry, which doesn't seem to have too much of an effect on him as all the stat boosting messages that pop up indicate. Keep hammering away at him, and eventually he'll calm down and sit in a corner. If you bring Mog with you, you can recruit him into the party by talking to him after the battle.

First kill the two Ipoohs (you have no choice). After a round or two of fighting with Vargas directly he will blow away your party except for Sabin. Just have Sabin use Pummel once to take care of Vargas and end the battle.

Whelk has two parts; a head and it's shell, don't attack the shell unless you like nasty surprises, and especially don't attack Whelk with lightning either. Have Terra use TekMissile while the others use their beams to kill the head. Use HealForce to pass the time when Whelk is hiding inside his shell.

If you have Wall Rings equipped this fight will be a cinch. As all of the White Dragon's Pearl spells will be reflected back onto him, healing him only moderately. And also the White Dragon has a penchant for using Dispel a lot of the time. But since Dispel can't get rid of the Reflect status from your Wall Rings, you're perfectly safe to hammer away on the White Dragon at your convenience.

First attack one of your characters until he dies. If Wrexsoul doesn't appear, revive the character and kill a different one, keep doing this until Wrexsoul appears. Revive your dead character and attack Wrexsoul with Ice spells and physical attacks. Repeat this process if Wrexsoul disappears again, to make himshow himself. Keep this up and eventually you will win.
