Though mostly quiet and only spurting loud, single words as a means of communication, Fujin has the strength, power, and demeanor of any male warrior. She stands beside Seifer and Raijin as an element of their "posse." However, Raijin is very outspoken, rash, and self-centered. Also a part of Balamb's Disciplinary Committee, Raijin tags along with his posse to enforce Garden rules.

Weapons in Final Fantasy VIII aren't interchangeable, but specifically designed for each character. Initial weapons (weakest) are equipped by default. More powerful weapons require parts which are acquired from defeating and/or stealing them from enemies, or refining items. In addition, you must obtain magazines, located throughout the world, which contain weapon information in order to make them available as an upgrade. Visit Upgrade Shops, located in most well-populated towns, to upgrade weapons.
