Items Refinements
What do the different refinement icons mean and how do I use them?

Refinement/Construction Use or Make Item/Magic
This icon represents what can be made from this item when either using it as a weapon upgrading component, refining it to another item, or refining it to create magic. The larger number of original items you possess, the greater quantity of refinements you can produce. In most cases, these types of items can be used in all three different ways.

When using as a weapon upgrading component, the item is offered unaltered (in its present state) in combination with other weapon upgrading items at an Upgrade Shop. There is no need to refine this item. This icon will tell you what weapons can be created by this item.

When refining to another item, you'll need a certain number of these items in combination with a refinement ability acquired by a Guardian Force, such as Alexander's Med LV Up. This icon will tell you what resulting refinement items can be created.

When refining to magic, you'll need a certain number of these items in combination with a magic refinement ability acquired by a Guardian Force, such as Bahamut's Forbid Mag-RF. This icon will tell you what resulting magics can be created.

GF Learns Ability
This icon represents the Guardian Force ability that can be taught when using the item on a GF. Each of the four GF ability types are supported by these types of items. To teach a GF the available ability, simply use the item on the GF.

CCI (Change Card Into)
This icon represents which card(s) can be refined to create this item using Quezacotl's Card Mod ability. In certain cases, a single card can produce a number of these items. This icon will tell you what card can be refined to create this item.
