4.1 is out and....

damn you Yoshida for making the Ivalice scenes and Prima Vista more nostalgic with FFT music. *goes back to the Prima Vista to listen some more*

Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
You start in Kugane where you meet a servant wokring for the Grand Imperial Plawright company who wants su to speak with someone she represents. This girl is named Alma bas Leventale, duaghter of a missing playwrigth who is an old friend of Cids. Cid briefly appear but is unable to assist due to the pending Omega Questline. So we are ther eot help find ehr father. Then we are introduced to the son of the playwright, Ramza bas Lexentale, who is the spitting image of our FFT protagonist, albeit this version is a bit of a dick being of Garlemald. Both he and Alma are Garleans. We are to aid them in finding their father and discovering the truth of the Zodiac brave story. Delita is only mentioned but there is talk of the unnamed hero (FFT Ramza) whose deeds not only allowed Deltia to ascend to the throne but also went largely without mention. We start in the Imperial prvince of Rabansatre, which in this world, is supposedly built above the ancient capital if Ivalice, Leslia.(also Rabanastre is int he midst of an uprising thanks to our victories in Doma and Ala Migo). Also one of the artifacts their father brougth back is a piece of Auracite. (Zodiac Stone and I am willing to bet it is Virgo)

Also ti does look like we will be traveling to Rabanastre possibly in 5.0 since a map did appear int he update with a '???'. It is situated on the Garlemald continent. Alphinaud mentions the province in uprising so our second trip in Orthard will undoubtedly have us crossing another sea to there with "Robin and Batgirl".

Also for the upcomign Hildebrand series...

Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
The return of "Greg" is nigh.

I've been putting off re-upping but I'm not gonna lie, this right here is really getting my attention.

I love when FFXIV isn't afraid to be really, really stupid.

4.2 Trailer is out.

From the trialer here what we learn

Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
The Garlean ambassador is supposedly Yotsuyu's dousche bag cousin that sold her off to prostitution. It seems the Emperor has taken a sudden interest in elimanating the Primals (though this effort is clearly being driven by Eldibius. it is possible this kid is the one being posessed by him.)

Looks like the Phantom Train is a dungeon/boss. In addiiton we will have Sigmascape fights against Chaddernook, the Guardian, which I would have thought would show up as a raid in Garlemald.

And the final boss of the Sigmascape because it needs Spoiler tags of it's own.

Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
KEFKA!!!

Phantom Train and all the other FFVI stuff though (including
Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
Kefka
are all part of the same thing - the next Omega raid (Sigmascape I believe it's called). But I don't care... that music, the Phantom Train's insane battle (ramming a flatbed wagon ahead of it which the player party is on to boot!) just is heaping on the emotion so heavily! That remix of Dancing Mad especially... :D Damnit Yoshi... you know me too well. ;)

As for Yotsuyu, it's clear she's heavily amnesiac which leads to interesting complications about how to handle her, and yeah, the Garlean Ambassador is her smug shithead of a cousin. I actually shouted to the screen "I'll tell you what you can do with your godsdamn alliance!" when he started spouting that drivel about Varis "wanting an alliance." He doesn't want an alliance, he just wants to keep "his friends close and his enemies closer" - he's one step away from wanting to capture the Warrior of Light so that his Hojo-copy can learn more about how the Echo protects from Primal tempering and make their artificial Echo more potent. So I sincerely hope Eorzea and the Othardians don't fall for this little charade. "Beware of Garleans bearing gifts" indeed...

And yeah, I agree that he is probably Elidibus's meatsuit: Elidibus was introduced from minute one wearing white robes and what colour is the outfit of this little shite? A white and red ensemble. It doesn't look half obvious. :p
