OK, well this place makes me sad that no one is talking about FFXV!

I'm bummed about the delay.  I have it preordered digitally.  Was going to take the day off work and everything.  But now when it comes out I'll be away for a few days!

Is anyone watching the anime?  I've watched the first 3 so far and am enjoying it.  Certainly explains more about Prompto!  I get him now.

I've heard good things about Kingsglaive.  No way for me to go see it in a theater, so I'll prob pick it up digitally.

Anyone made a decision on the season pass?  I mean there does seem to be a decent? amount of story content implied.  And it's $25 to upgrade from regular preorder to include season pass.  And it's possible it could cost more to get it on its own.  So I think I might take the plunge.

To be really honest, I was not surprised in the slightest when they announced the delay, and I am glad they have - after the whole FFXIV 1.0 debacle (where the game was released long before it was really ready), it's obvious they're not wanting to repeat the same mistake, not since they have so much riding on this (like FFXIV ARR they've kind of bet the farm on it's success, hopefully like ARR the gamble will pay off.... hopefully.).

Im scared of watching the anime or Kingsglaive. Will it have any spoilers to FF15? Or Will I be confused playing ff15 if I miss it?

Im super relieved it was delayed. Tech demo had so many technical issues like laggy jumping and poor frame rate. Im glad they are spending the time to polish the game.

Sad face until almost December. I'm waiting for a PS4 bundle, hopefully.

As I understand it both anime and Kingsglaive are side stories.  The anime has been just little bits of the guys on the road, with flashbacks to earlier in their lives.  And Kingsglaive I think happens at the same time as the game but different characters?  I don't know, as far as I know they intended for people to watch before playing, so shouldn't be spoilers.  I think it should just enhance your knowledge of the world, etc.

Broke down and upgraded to season pass :)

I have no interest until the reviews come in, as well as the first hand accounts from people I respect.

I know how they work

The excitement I had for this withered over the years.  I'll have to wait and see what the word of mouth is.

I am worried though how much the future of the franchise is riding on this one.  All because of how horribly Square-Enix has mishandled the series.

I'll be getting a PS4 for this...and LAst Gauridan and No Mans Sky.

I'm still hyped for it even though I haven't looked too much into the recent development since it changed names. Also because of how SE knows how to polish a turd since FFXIV ARR.

^ Yes and I was hoping you guys here have seen it too so we can talk about it. :D

I've been seeing reviews online saying that it's not good, confusing, overwritten, etc etc, but beautiful. I didn't think it was that bad and actually quite enjoyed the story. It actually got me a bit more hyped for the game.

I feel very guarded about this game. I also will probably not be buying on launch day. I want to see what the reception is at this site and others before diving in. Plus I am put off by the season pass. I will probably hold out until there is a GOTY edition or something to that effect. I hate season passes.

AND, with the delay, it releases 8 days after my daughter is scheduled to be born so I doubt I will have much time when it releases, so that has also limited my excitment just knowing I won't be able to play right away. I am looking forward to it though. I think it looks promising, even with the technical issues that have been out there so far with it. But there is a part of me that thinks it will just be the tease that Suicide Squad turned out to be.

Well, I don't know what this is ( a movie?) but I liked it, the next FF, on the other hand, I'd rather wait and see.

Yeah - it's a movie that is supposed to take place at the same time as the game, but following different characters.  It had a VERY limited theatrical release (like 20 theaters maybe?), will be out digitally next week, and on blu ray in October.

Aha, the names did sound vaguely familiar, I have to say though, it is very reminiscent of the story of FFXII.
