It's that time of the year again! Go check out speeddemosarchive.com for AGDQ. The marathon is running up until late January 12th and any money you give goes to the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Notable games being played this year that haven't been at the marathons before are Final Fantasy 9, Wind Waker, Mass Effect, and many others as well as the usual awesome regulars. So go watch some awesome speedruns and give what you can!

I'll be checking in from time to time this week. I'll be at work during some of the runs I'm interested in watching, unfortunately. I'm looking forward to catching FFIX.

Carl Sagan is the shit at YI. A lot of people hype up Trihex but he isn't nearly as consitent as the other big two players.

FYI for those of you who want to watch certain things but can't watch live: if you go to the twitch page:

and click "videos" right above the donation tracker you can watch anything after they clip the video. Sometimes they do it in 12 hour blocks or more, sometimes less so you may have to look at the schedule and take a few minutes to find what you're looking for. I do this a lot for the great games they run at 2am (SMRPG!)

I went ahead and bought the FFIX shirt from The Yetee. I liked the FFVI design from SGDQ a little more, but this is still pretty good.

I missed out on Punch Out, but I really enjoyed that three way race in Super Mario World.
