Merry Christmas FFS 2011 edition

Yep, still gaming

Merry Christmas you rascals!, we have had a couple of very bad days, so, we pulled ourselves together and made an attempt to have a normal-ish Christmas night, however, we had no time to wrap persents so, we just put everything in a big box (one from each) and we just pulled the presents from the boxes and gave it to each other; we are thinking of make it a tradition, ha.

Anyways, the loot:

A nice, sturdy wood spoon (to replace the flimsy cheapy one I had that my husband snapped intwo a few months ago)
A gorgeous cutting board made of bamboo and with a beautiful desing running along the lower edge
A Kindle Touch, a Kindle!, yay! that I'm currently charging and will be filling up with some stuff (Complete Lovecraft works for .99 cents!) before I go to bed and a nice leather Kindle case.

I gave my husband old fashioned stuff: a Cribbage board and pegs, because he was reminicing about playing the game when he was a kid, a shaving kit (mug, soaps, brush and a safety razor) and the second book from a an author (Ian Toll), who's first book (Six Frigates) we adored to pieces.

... ... ...

I've got a Kindle!.

I didn't really receive anything. but I gave three PS3s (parents and brothers) and four Force FX Lightsabers (friends). Damn those lightsabers are cool (I of course also bought one for myself).

So far, I've got:

A nice pair of black leather boots (I desperately needed new footwear and these are much appreciated :)).
A pair of Sony bass boost earphones

I've also got a new bed on the way, to replace the crappy fold-up camp bed I've been sleeping on since I moved at the beginning of 2009.

Most importantly though, I'm spending time with my mum and all my siblings at her new house out in the country (a place where I grew up in and where I haven't visited twenty years ago - so seeing places from my childhood I haven't seen in so long was a present in itself. :)

Received Thor Blu-Ray and Trans-Siberian Christmas trilogy. Gave Settlers of Catan with 5-6 player expansion and sci-fi themed baby stuff for my new unborn nephew. My family keeps it pretty simple.

This year was more about our daughter than anything. She just turned one and had a ton of fun this Christmas.
