Anyone else read about this?

Seems like Motorola have won an injunction against Mocrosoft for copyright infringement in Germany.  It basically means that X-Box's, Windows 7, Internet Explorer and WMP are banned in Germany.  More importantly apparently Motorola want the table the case in the US but aren't allowed to yet as US courts will decided how to proceed soon.  Imagine Motorola win that one!  Sets one hell of a precedence.

What the hell?  That's rather... epic.  I'm sure they'll settle it before an *actual* ban gets put into place, but still.  Wow.

Ouch.   Hadn't heard of that yet, but that sucks.  It would definitely set a huge precedence.

And this is why copyright laws as they are are completely retarded. Motorola are no better than patent trolls in this case.

Seems like Moto is kinda effed on this trying to get what 2.25% while other patents get thousanths of that. Just trying to get a couple more bucks than the other guys as far as I can tell. And now they're getting countered on their own shady dealings. Gotta love this sort of legal nonsense.
