Sad news, but I guess that's what happens when you keep pushing out games of suspect quality.

That sucks.

Though I wonder what that means for Xilla getting a US release?

...

I'm hoping for too much, aren't I?

Crono
Crono can cross dimensions too!

At least it's being absorbed into Namco so we MAY get another Tales game at some point.

Currently Playing: Dark Cloud 2: 3 hours.
Also Playing: CT, FF VI, Solatorobo, Secret of Mana, Halo 4.
Just Finished: Fable II: 7 hours.

The way I took this is that the Tales studio, while still technically making successful games, had become financially insolvent, so they're dissolving as a separate entity, but with the employees being hired and reforming - probably as a newly-created product division - inside Namco-Bandai, becoming an internal part of that studio instead of being on their own.  Seeing as how the Tales games still are successful and do make money, I think they'll still continue to be made, though likely under Namco-Bandai's financial supervision.

I'm not sure what financial choices the Tales studio made to keep losing money even though most of their games topped charts on their release weeks and sold well, but whatever it was, that's why it's probably better to have them operating under NB directly now.
