Tomasi's run, aside from the Court of Owls crossover, is really good so far.

And I don't think that Erin is a bad villain per se, I'm just very concerned that she'll replace Two-Face. Or that Tomasi thinks that she'll replace Two-Face.

"Of Christ's twelve Apostles Judas alone proved to be traitor. But if he had acquired power, he would have represented the other eleven Apostles as traitors, and also all the lesser Apostles whom Luke numbers as seventy." - Leon Trotsky

I have a blog. This is its URL. You should read it. It's about education and skepticism and books and it has a lot of pictures of Batman and Robin in it: http://baldermoon.wordpress.com/

Hello all.  I'm interesting in reading general thoughts on how the New 52 has turned out.  I lost track due to having to end comic expenses.  Thanks.

The short answer is that it's bad.

I know how they work

Some of it's good, more of it's bad.

I think if they had planned things out beforehand it wouldn't be as much of a clusterfuck, but oh well.

The good is the exception, not the rule, and the bad is REALLY BAD.

But also the good bits are REALLY GOOD.

Conspiracy theorists going crazy or is there truth in it?

I've heard rumors of this going back almost a year, so I'm not at all surprised.

If they hadn't "ended" and then re-purposed the books (if it weren't, y'know, comics, where no one dies, not even titles) in the past, I'd be more concerned about a conspiracy, but honestly, like all things in comics, it'll just be a hiccup in the status quo and everything will be back to normal eventually.

I'm always wary of BleedingCool, but if it's true, I'm only slightly flustered.  I never cared about the Fantastic Four before Hickman's run.  Then I loved it.  Then I stopped caring during Fraction's run.  I'm so far behind on my comics that I've only read one issue of the current run.

But really, like reido said, this is comics.  Even if it is fully canceled, it'll be back in a couple years with a giant #1 on the cover and loads of hype about, "The Return of Marvel's First Family!" and all the bells and whistles that go along with relaunches.

A Question About Comics! Do any of you guys use Marvel Unlimited and, if so, is it worth it in your experience?

You're going to break a lot of hearts, Marvel.  You don't, maybe, understand what you're dealing with.

Hmm Marvel are rebooting maybe? I always liked they didn't, unlike DC.

I know they do a lot of mini retcons (Peter Parker unmasking) using crappy storyline excuses, but a "Crisis" style reboot? Meh.

I hope they don't reboot. I also hope all this shit doesn't affect the two Marvel comics I still read.

God I hate crossover events.

I really enjoyed it.  For the most part.  A lot of times issues just wouldn't load for me, but I don't know if it's the app's fault or because I still have an iPad 2.  But if you want to read comics, you can't go wrong for value for money.  They put out everything, about 6 months to a year after it first comes out.  Since I had been doing trades before, I had no problem with that.  And such a huge (though not complete) back catalogue.

I stopped mostly because I don't really like where Marvel is going now because of their movie success.  Less of a connected world, less continuity, easier for new readers to be immeately caught up.  I absolutely get it, but that's not why I loved Marvel comics.  My subscription ran out in May, and I found I didn't really miss it.
