Because it's going to be awsome nostalgia.

Unfortunatley I can't watch it this week since I am in a country that cuts out nudity, love scenes, extreme violence in theatrically but when I get home .... oh yeah!!! Leo and Kate are back (well it wasn't that long ago since Revolutionary Road was not too long ago but still ....)

For those who have seen it in 3D ... what are your thoughts?

I am lacking in a vagina, so I will not be going. I'm making my girlfriend go see it with one of her friends.

I've watched the movie once from start to beginning and once was enough. Set pieces and costumes and everything were nice, plot was nothing that interested me. Plus the movie is over 3 hours long, I think a movie that is over 2 hours long is really pushing it. I have no interest in sitting in a theater for 3 hours.

I'm wondering how many guys go watch this just to see a certain scene in 3d?

Great men aren't everywhere, just where it counts.

If you ever see me online playing Halo, join me please.

I want to see the falling guy hit the propellor in 3D. That would be worth the price of admission right there.

Well yeah there are only two reasons to see this movie after all.

And that other reason has been in far better movies than this one.

Why would I want to ruin my now very positive impression of Leonardo DiCaprio after (insert Scorsese film here) and Inception by seeing him be an insufferable prat in this movie?

There are more reasons to not see that movie than to see it.

I wouldn't mind seeing it again on the big screen, 3D or not.

Salazar
Still here...

My biggest problem with Titanic is actually the antagonists. Cameron has yet to write a decent (human) villain though and neither Billy Zane's nor David Warner's characters are any different. They come off as completely one dimensional. I had the same problem with the villain in Avatar. It may work for killer cyborgs and xenomorphs but it doesn't work for people.

I'm Catbug!

Done and done, bitches. Saw it in IMAX 3D on friday. It was amazing. The combination made the experience truly immersive. The sinking was of course phenomenal on the giant screen, but everything really felt like you were there.

My biggest problem with Titanic? The ham-fisted dialogue. Dear god, people say the Star Wars prequels have bad dialogue? Has anyone actually listened to what's said in Titanic? It's horrific to say the least. Thank goodness for good performances from the actors or I'd have been twitching enough to shake my seat loose from the theatre floor.

EDIT:
Speaking of Billy Zane's character, during the scene where he has his temper tantrum during afternoon tea, I was thisclose to literally shouting out "PIG".
