Don't look if you don't want to be spoiled.

That's bringing back some painful memories.

...why the electric piping on the inside of his hood?

Like...why's that necessary? Either give him the goddamned suit or don't.

I love the Christopher Nolan Batman movies, but they've had a fucked up effect on the industry when it comes to comic book movies. One of my favorite things as a comic book reader is how goofy they are. We can make a comic book movie that keeps the goofiness without being Batman and Robin, you know.

"Of Christ's twelve Apostles Judas alone proved to be traitor. But if he had acquired power, he would have represented the other eleven Apostles as traitors, and also all the lesser Apostles whom Luke numbers as seventy." - Leon Trotsky

I have a blog. This is its URL. You should read it. It's about education and skepticism and books and it has a lot of pictures of Batman and Robin in it: https://baldermoon.wordpress.com/

Because there's a difference between 'comic-booky' and downright ridiculous:

Apparently this new look is channeling the character's look from one of the cartoons, as far as I can tell.

Also, you might not be the only one who feels that way Raz. Supposedly the guy who'll be playing The Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier was disappointed he wasn't going to be wearing the character's traditional costume.

And I have to admit myself, that sometimes the changes they make to certain characters costumes piss me off but for the most part, I can handle them because as noted above, some superheroes and a lot of villains have mind-bogglingly ridiculous costumes that would look terrible on the big screen.

Spidey
So Sigh Ety

As long as he's not as powerful as he was in the cartoon, then it's all good.

Personally I like the look a lot. Gotta adapt to the silver screen, whatnot and all that jazz.

Wonder why he's blue. I'd say they're going with the Ultimate version of him as the ASM movies are very much based on the Ultimate Comics. But Electro was gold there.

Maybe CGI will make him gold?

Ohhh...I thought that he was supposed to be Shocker. I totally forgot about Electro.

Why are they using Electro instead of Shocker?

Because no one takes Shocker seriously.

Ties to Norman Osborn apparently, whereas Shocker's just a hired merc. Gotta have all the villians tied to Spidey somehow...

And then Electro replied "Well at least I don't look like an ear of corn in a bondage suit!"

and then ran off crying.
