Why? Because I can of course!

I loved this show as a kid. Seeing though the article is old, hearing about the behind the scenes is crazy. One point from the article in particular surprises me:

...4.4% of the Legends of The Hidden Temple constestants actually won.

It's also cool to hear that Dee Bradley Baker was the voice of Olmec, and he actually manipulated the face of the statue.

Also...http://www.nick.com/legends-of-the-hidden-temple/

...live action movie... WAT?

Fuck Shit Stack.

It's a shame to hear about just how crappy game shows were behind the scenes.
I watched that game show a lot as a kid and remembered how crappy it was for the first team to lose right away. They don't even really get the chance to play the game and then they win the coveted hershey milk chocolate powder consolation prize.
At least the other nick game shows had the contestants competting through out the whole game.

I was on a kids game show once.  The local ABC (? not sure if it was called that back in the day, but channel 5) affiliate had like a morning kids news show for a while, and they had a game show as part of it.  We won our first game, then lost the second.

First I choked on "name 5 sports teams."  Yeah.  Sure normally I could do it, but I hate sports so when I heard the word sports I froze.  Then at the end there would be a clue, and a scrambled word (with magnetic letters) that you had to unscramble to solve it.  The other team had "werewolf."  We had "psychic."  I was in 4th grade.  We knew what the answer was, but could not figure out how in the world to spell psychic.

Game shows with magnetic boards... That sounds familiar... Maybe I'm mistaking it for "It's Academic" which ran where I live on Saturdays...
