The show's pretty good. That said, the whole brony thing has gotten beyond obnoxious. Not here, but there's a lot of bronies out there that are extremely pushy if you don't lurve FiM.

I played on a TF2 server the other night called "Ponyville" without realizing it at first. I simply clicked on a random, populated server to join. It was an "alltalk" server and practically every person there was talking about the show, characters, and songs. Far be it from me to judge people on what entertains them; I'm a fucking Star Trek geek and I'm building a Final Fantasy site, but there wasn't a single female on the server.

Is MLP like cool for dudes now or what?

The new show, Friendship is Magic, is written to appeal to a wide range of people, including cynical 20-something males. There's a lot of hidden humor that is going to go over the target audience's head, but appeal to their much older siblings or parents (such as a Big Lebowski spoof. Seriously).

Though speaking of Star Trek and MLP, John DeLancie played a villain in the show named Discord. Who sounds and acts a lot like Q if he was some hideous dragon-like thingy.

Though I do appreciate the female equivalent of the Brony, the Pegasister.

My girlfriend's more obsessed with FiM than me, so there are definitely female bronies/Pegasisters out there. One thing she pointed out that maybe a lot of 20-somethings like the show because they're part of the same generation that grew up watching shows like Powerpuff Girls.

It's a surprisingly good show, and damn it is so easy to love Pinkie Pie.
