The music was a tad on the weak side and didn't perform up to the SNES version. This game actually has a way to get General Leo but I can prove it yet. There is a Game Shark code though for you to get him but that code has yet to be found. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Characters in Final Fantasy 6 -------------- The following is a list of characters for Final Fantasy 6. If he has the Blizzard Orb relic equipped he does an ice elemental attack. If he has no relic he attacks with the Full Moon weapon. Gogo Profession: Underground Cave Dweller and Master Mime Unique Ability: Mimic Last Resort: X-Meteor Shrouded in odd clothing,... is this a man...?...a woman...?...or should we ask...? Not much is known about Gogo. He was just found here and covered in drapes of cloth. It was rumored that Gogo might actually be Daryl because of all the circumstances. For example, Gogo was found on the Triangular Island and Daryl's airship landed there. Also that would explain why here body was never recovered, I mean would anyone search underground to find a supposedly dead body. Well I guess it could happen but only Squaresoft knows the truth. It is best to use Mog's group to fight the enemies because you can use the Dusk Requiem against the Boss. A good thing to do is to unequip Mog and Mog only so that you can get stronger weapons. The weapons that he has are significantly stronger than what you can get for awhile so it is a good idea. but only Edgar can equip the Mythril Pike. BOSS: Marshal, Soldier x2 By now you probably have the Dusk Requiem so start with that. If not just focus your attacks on the Marshal once he is defeated the enemies other two enemies should be a breeze. Locke will take Terra to the secret tunnel. You should remember it well because it will be the only to reach the other Returners. The Narshe soldiers won't let you back in so head south to the desert to Figaro castle. --Figaro Castle-- Be careful of the enemies in the desert because there a little stronger than you party. Go straight to the king's room where you will meet Edgar the King of Figaro and its people. ITEMS: Fenix Down, Soft, Antidote, Potion Go out around and up there should a teasure chest. In it is a Fenix Down. Go back down and go to the left room the should be an item merchant and treasure chest carrying Soft. The right room has 2 chests and a tool merchant. Edgar wakes up in the middle of the night and finds the castle on fire courtesy of the Empire. Talk to Kefka and then go back to the guard in front of the king's room. Talk to him and watch. The Figaro Castle and its people go to submerge mode. As you ride the chocobos the MagiTek armor catches up and a fight will insue. Have Terra use magic and a small chat goes on. If the meet at the table, a South Figaro soldier warns you about the Empire coming to attack the base. Locke decides to check up on South Figaro to see what else has happened. Meanwhile, you must get Banon to Narshe so he can see the frozen esper and meet up with Arvis. --Lete River-- As you flow down the river be sure to keep Banon alive at all costs. You encounter some save points along the way. When ever you get the chance to access the option menu, put Banon in the back row. He takes damage less this way. You fight Ultros for awhile and Sabin decide to jump in after him but get swept down the river in the wrong direction. A scenerio pops up and you are given a choice between: Terra, Edgar, and Banon - Shortest Sabin - Easiest but longest Locke - Most difficult Well, these are just my opinions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sabin's Part ~~~~~~~~~~~~ You start out on the shore outside of a house. You now control Cyan so take him to the throne room as the king says his final words. After that Cyan's family get the effects of the poison and die as well. Cyan enters the Imperial Camp angry and full of rage. Sabin and Shadow help Cyan and meet him for the first time. Defeat the guards and take the MagiTek Armor out of there. --Phantom Forest-- This is pretty straight forward. Follow the signs and you should end up at the Phantom Train Station. --Phantom Train-- ITEMS: Earrings, Fenix Down x2, Sniper Sight You arrive at the train an board it. All of the trains have ghosts that fight you, join you, or try to sell you items. When you reach as far as you can go. Climb the ladder to the top of the train. All the ghosts will surround you and the Ghost that was in your party will leave you if he already hasn't. Sabin takes the party members and jumps to car to car and finally falls. Enter train again and pull the switch to the top and the pursuers will be stuck on the detached train. Re-enter the train and pull the switch again to release the wall. The next car is a dining room where you can regain your HP's. The lead member of your party will give you a different dialogue. After eatting, exit and take the ladder to the other side. Re-enter the train and take treasure in the chest. Go to the next car and enter the first room. As you try to get the treasure Siegfried stops you and you initiate a battle. It should be easily won and as you defeat him he takes the treasure and exits. The next car has treasure chests in it but one or two of them have specters in them. Exit and the next car should have a save spot. After is the engine. Stop the train by pulling the first and third switches as stated in the inscription to the lower left part of the room. Then exit and go around the top of the train to push the switch. BOSS: Phantom Train This boss is a little hard but if you can keep your lfe up you should be fine. The best attack is Sabin's Pummel or Aurabolt. When you defeat him the people of Doma Castle are seen boarding the train. As you exit head down and around to the right of the mountains. To Barren Falls. --Barren Falls-- Shadow leaves you if he hasn't done so yet. Jump off the falls and as you fall you fight a continuous battle of Piranha. BOSS: Rizopas This boss is pretty easy. --The Veldt-- Gau is introduced and finds you laying there. As you wake up head east to Mobliz. Buy a dried meat for later and any other item you need. If you talk to the injured boy he asks you to deliver a letter so go the relic shop. Just repeat the process and you can get a Tintinabar. Also the messenger's clock has an elixir. Exit to and fight around until you see Gau. When you see him do not fight him just give him a dried meat and he will join your party. Go south to the mountains and Gau will talk about a shiny thing he found. --Cresent Mountains-- Walk around and eventually he finds the underwater helmet. There are some items around here if you want to pick them up. This will gain you access to Serpent's Trench. --Serpent's Trench-- ITEMS: X-Potion, Green Beret The best way to go is left then left because you get all the items. After exiting you should end up in Nikeah. --Nikeah-- Buy the weapons that you need and check the clock at the inn for an elixir. Go to the boat at the bottom of the town and the scenerio will end. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Terra, Banon, and Edgar's Part ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The idea is still the same keep Banon alive. The rest of this part is pretty much linear. When you reach shore enter Narshe and go to the secret entrance Locke told Terra about in the beginning of the game. The secret ntrance is located al the way to the left when you first walk into Narshe. In the moogle room there is a treasure chest containing the Rune Blade. Get it if you want but you lose a Ribbon if you don't wait for the World of Ruin. Follow the lights and keep going straight until you reach Arvis' House. End of this part. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Locke's Part ~~~~~~~~~~~~ RARE ITEM: Old Cider ITEMS: Hyper Wrist, RunningShoes, Tonic, Elixir You start outside of Duncan's house face down. When you get up go to the stairs to the left and enter the item shop. There should be a merchant who wants to fight you. Just steal from this guy and you get a helmet armor and his clothing as well. Then leave and head to the house back down the stairs. Go inside and examine the pots to get a Tonic. Then go straight down the stairs. Talk to the boy and he will let you pass. If you want (you do not have to) go north of the town and go up the stairs and to the left there is a guard who will pick a fight with you. Steal his clothes and you will become a soldier in a green uniform. Go around the town the left and then go to the cafe. When you enter it go to the right of the cafe go down the stairs and steal that merchants clothing and take the Cider to the old man back in the house you came in to from the beginning of the scenerio. Take the cider to the old man to the left of the house. Talk to him and he will tell you about a password he cannot remember. Go back down the stairs and talk to the kid again. He gives you three choices so pick "Courage." A secret door at the bottom wall appears. Wall through the door and it will take you to the old man's house. Walk up around and to the right then enter the house. Go up the stairs and enter the first room. The lady in there talks about a draft. The draft is coming from behind the bookshelf. Take the stairs down the book shelf and you will be in a hidden room. Go forward and you will be asked if you want to change clothes. It really doesn't matter. After you are asked go straight down as far as possible into the wall. Turn right and walk down the stairs. Take the two treasures and return up the stairs. Go to the first door and you will see Celes locked up in chains and being hit by the soldiers. Depending on the clothes you have on Locke will either hide up in the ceiling support bar or stand outside the room and salute. When the guard leaves, enter the room and unlock Celes chains. Examine the sleeping guard to get the Clock Key. Exit the room and save if you want. The next room will take you to a treasure room. They should all be filled will GP in increments of 500 except for an empty one. Go to the non-ticking clock and wind the clock to reveal a door. --Secret Exit-- ITEMS: Iron Armor, Heavy Shld, Regal Cutlass, Ribbon, Earrings, Ether, X-Potion In this passage way when you first enter there should be a hallway when you walk a little further go down but don't go all the way through. Push against the left wall and take a couple steps forward then face down and there should be some steps for you to take. Down the stairs there are treasure boxes and one of them contain a Ribbon(the legendary Ribbon). Exit back up and just keep walking around until you see the exit. When you exit out you should be outside of South Figaro town. Go up north to Sabin's House if you need a rest. Otherwise go west to the Cave of Figaro. This should be pretty easy. Note that if you didn't get the Fenix Down in the left door way when you first came in then pick it up for a thunder rod. When you see the little turtle and his pond go up to it and recover. BOSS: TunnelArmr As you exit a TunnelArmr appears and engages in battle. If you have the thunder rod use it as an item an it should be a quick battle. If you don't then have Celes cure every two rounds and attack with bolt magic if she has it and have Locke just keep attacking. Once you defeat it Locke leaves and you go exit the cave and the scenerio ends here. --Narshe-- ITEM: Elixir Here is were all the present members of your party meet. Before you leave check the clock for an Elixir. Prepare yourself for showdown with the Empire. Banon will lead the way as you walk to the esper at the edge of Narshe. On the way some members of the party conversate to each other. When you reach the snowy field get ready to fight. Here you will form three groups and fight Kefka. I would recommend Edgar and Sabin be in their own group because of their attacks. If you insist on destroying all of the soldiers have Egdar use the "Tools" command along with the Auto-Crossbow and have Sabin use the "Blitz" Fire Dance. The group that I recommend having to fight Kefka is Cyan, Terra, Locke, and Celes. Be sure to equip relics that defend against poison attacks. Have Cyan use the "SwdTech" Dispatch, Celes use "Runic" if you can, and Locke and Terra just attack. If you have the "Runic" command is on be sure to only use potions for healing. All you have to do is survive this one and hurt Kefka enough so she will disappear back to the Empire. When this battle is over everyone meets up around the frozen esper. Terra will then morph into an Esper herself and fly off. Take 3 or 4 party members along and head to South Figaro just like Arvis said. --South Figaro-- When you first enter the castle, there should be two staircases to the left and to the right. Take the one to the left and take to the old man. He will ask if you want to go beyond the mountains (Kohlingen). This takes the castle into submerge mode and to the other side of the mountain. Kohlingen is just northwest of the castle. --Kohlingen-- In the cafe at the bar is a man standing with a dog. Approach him and Shadow will be introduced. He will come along if there is an extra space in your party and if you have enough to feed his dog Interceptor (which is about 3000GP). If Locke is in your group go into the house at the upper leftmost corner of the town and you can see some of Locke's past. On the other house in the northeastern corner there is a Green Beret if you take the back entrance of the house. If you take the front entrance and go down the stairs Rachel lies there in suspended animation. Exit and go south to Jidoor and by some weapon if you feel the need otherwise go north to Zozo. If you are tired of fighting you can take a chocobo to Zozo just follow the light green grass and it will take you straight to there. --Jidoor-- Head in and talk to some of the people they will direct you to go up to the bum town of Zozo. You'll also know the story of why it was built. --Zozo-- ITEMS: Tincture x2, X-Potion, Tonic x2, ThiefGlove, RunningShoes, Chain Saw, FireKnuckle, Watch out for random enemy encounters here. In the Inn there is nothing but an unset wall clock so it gives you the option to set it. The hour is 6. The minute is 10. And the second is 50. 6:10-50 seconds and the right wall should open up to reveal a secret passage which leads to a Chain Saw. Exit back out and go behind the big tall building to take you to the other part of Zozo. There is an abandoned armor shop with a treasure chest between there. In it is a tonic. After that go to the Relics shop. You might see people waking in there but you can ignore them if you want. Each of them has a different dialogue but after awhile they repeat. Keep walking to the top and take the Thief Glove. Then go back down some floors and go to the doorless entrance. Walk to the entrance and climb through the window and jump across to the other side. To do this when your in the entrance hold the direction you want to jump in (hold left or right). Go up the stairs and jump where need. When you get to a certain point a man will be blocking your path. Dadaluma will confront you. BOSS: Dadaluma Be sure to equip a long range weapon that is strong. The long range weapon is for Dadaluma when he brings out the Brawlers. Just keep your HP up and keep attacking Dadaluma and all the emenies will be gone. If you have Sabin in your group use "Blitz" command Suplex. Use the "Tool" Chain Saw for Edgar. If Celes has the spell poison use it otherwise attack. Same goes for Locke(just attack). When the battle is over go through the doors and get the treasure chest to the left and right sides of the room. Terra will lay there unconscious. The Esper of Ramuh will appear tell you about her. When Ramuh morphs into a piece of magicite take it and the other 3 and leave. The party members will be down their waiting for you at the door. When you reach the entrance of Zozo take Celes and Locke along with two other members to Jidoor again. Don't forget to equip your new found espers. --Jidoor (revisited)-- Go straight to the northern most house and take to the man inside. You will learn about Maria the opera singer. The only to get to the southern island is by air so you will need a airship. Time for a little impersonation. Your next stop will be the Opera House. Go south. --Opera House-- In the Opera House, Locke tell Impesario about the plan but he doesn't agree to it yet but with a little pursuading he agrees. Before the play starts, have Locke check on Celes. If you want you can re-read the lines as much as you want. Be sure you have the lines remembered. Here are the correct choices to pick: 1)Oh, my hero 2)I am the darkness 3)Must I walk up the stairs and follow Prince Draco around. Pick up the flowers when you see them and walk to the top of the balcony. Don't forget timing is everything. As you see them dance Ultros appears at the top of the rafters and is about to drop an anvil to spoil their plans. You have 5 minutes before Celes becomes a superhero pancake. Equip the relic Sprint Shoes if you have them and go to the right side of the Opera House. When you get there pull the right most switch and go all the way back to the left side. Try to avoid the rats. If you end up fighting them and just happen to have Sabin in your group use "Blitz" Fire Dance and if you have Edgar use the Auto Crossbow. If you don't have either just fight. When you reach Ultros the time stops and everyone falls down. With the actors smashed who will save the day. Oh no not Locke. Now Ultros is a threat so you better take him out fast. BOSS: Ultros (The return of) Basically if you have Sabin use "Blitz" command Aurabolt. Edgar should use Chain Saw or Drill if he has it if not just attack. The Ramuh esper works pretty good as well. If you have the bolts spells by now use them. Once you hit him enough times he will scurry off. Setzer then takes Celes and the Act is over. You are now on the airship. The other members sneak on board. Setzer wil be introduced here and is pursuaded by such a divous plot (Edgar's lucky coin). You now have Setzer's airship in your possession. --Albrook-- You land the airship here so you aren't seen by the Empire. There really isn't any stronger weapons or armor but you can still buy them if you don't have them. After the head north. To the MagiTek Factory. But first Vector --Vector-- When you first walk in there are soldiers walking around. Don't talk to them or you will be shoved and dragged back to the entrance. You can rest at the Inn if you want. The guy at the counter says it is free but if you go to it too much he will start stealing 1000GP when your asleep(sneaky little bum isn't he). To the left of the Inn is an outhouse with an old lady that asks you if you support the Empire. Not knowing that there are to guards surrounding you answer "no". Once you win this simple battle talk to her again and she will heal your party members. To the northeastern part of Vector and there you see an old man hiding behind some boxes. He offers his help and distracts the soldiers so you can move through. He does some funny dance and pretends to feel ill. Move over to the box where was at and jump on to it by leaning on it. Once you are off the metal beams head straight up and into the MagiTek Factory. --MagiTek Factory-- ITEMS: Flame Sabre, Tincture, X-Potion, ThunderBlade, Remedy, Gold Shield, DragoonBoots, Tent, Gold Helmet, Gold Armor, Zephyr Cape, Blizzard, BreakBlade, Rune Edge Once your in the MagiTek Factory go left and walk straight into the pipe. When you are out of the pipe go down and pick up the Flame Sabre which most likely is the strongest sword for Celes or Edgar right now. Then go up a little just in front of the coveyor belt and face right. As you see the moving crane. Press the A button when the crane reaches toward you. When you are off the crane, walk all the way to the right and you will see two pipes leading down. Take the one on the right first and walk around to get the Tincture. Then make your way back to the two pipes and take the one to the left. When this conveyor belt takes you to a stop get the X-Potion to the left and walk onto the coveyor belt to the right. When you stop pick up the ThunderBlade. Head down and pick up the Remedy and take the conveyor belt to the left. When you reach a stop get of the platform and go down and to the left. If you look in the corner you'll see a treasure box. In it are DragoonBoots. Then take the stairs just above you and follow them all the way up. There is a doorway in the wall which leads to a treasure box with a Gold Shield in it. Return back down the stairs and from the bottom of the stairs walk down and you should see a doorway down a short hall. Ignore the the one on the right and take the left one although it really doesn't matter. Walk all the way across following the hand rail and you should see a treasure box. Open it and pick up the Tent. Then take the stairs just below you and walk around to the the bottom wall until you find a door. To the left of the door is a Gold Armor. search around again on the left side and in it will be the Gold Helmet. Return back up go around to the upper right corner. You should see some boxes. You'll nothice that the boxes don't cover up the whole wall and there is a pipe on the side of the wall. Go to the pipe and pick up the Zephyr Cape and the Blizzard sword. Then continue to walk down until you fall down the pipe. When you are out of the pipes walk to the conveyor belt just below your position and walk to the one on the right. When your off walk forward and you will hide behind some boxes. You'll watch Kefka push Ifrit and Shiva down the conveyor belt. When you Kefka is gone make your way down the conveyor belt as well and enter the room to the left. It's a save! You might want to save it just incase you lose at Ifrit and Shiva. Exit the save and talk to the guy below you (Ifrit). He shoves you back and you initiate a battle. BOSS: Ifrit and Shiva For this battle have Celes use Ice on Ifrit and use regular attacks on Shiva. I recommend that you give Celes the Flame Sabre. If you have the Drill or Chain Saw for Edgar have him use it. If not equip Edgar with the strongest non-elemental weapon. In other words, don't equip the Blizzard and especially not the ThunderBlade. But for those of you who want to equip the Blizzard make sure you change weapons when you see Shiva on the screen. Have Cyan use Dispatch and have Locke just do regular attacks. Sabin should use Pummel and have Gau use whatever. When the battle is over talk to Shiva and you'll get both Shiva and Ifrit's essence(magicite). Head through the door that Shiva was blocking and walk up the stairs. When you reach the top look around the tubes and you'll find the Break Blade. Continue walking forward until you reach Number 024 blocking you way. BOSS: Number 024 I recommend that you don't equip any elemental weapons(i.e. Thunder Blade, Blizzard, or Flame Sabre) because he has a wall change that is unpredictable. Have Locke steal from him until you get the Rune Blade. Equip the Rune Blade although it is pretty weak will do critical hits at the expense of your magic points. It is wise to give it to Celes and have her "fight". Have Cyan use his Dispatch or Quadra Slam if you have it. Have Edgar use a Drill or Chain Saw if he has it. If not equip him with the DragoonBoots relic and have him jump with a spear weapon equiped. When Locke gets the Rune Blade stolen have him just use regular attacks. Sabin should use Suplex if he has it and Pummel if he doesn't have Suplex. Gau should use whatever. Once he is down with enter the room and go straight up to the red control panel. When you press it you will get the Bismark, Shoat, Maduin, Unicorn, Carbunkle, and Phantom essences. Doctor Cid spots you and after awhile Kefka spots you as well. When Kefka sent her troops to attack Celes saves the day and transports herself away along with Kefka's troops and Kefka. The factory is about to blow so you have to follow Cid. Walk on and you will automatically move. You'll here a short speech by Professor Cid but to sum it up he has decided to switch sides. When the lift stops check the save point at the lower left corner. Talk to Cid again and he'll push you onto the mine cart. Ride through until you reach Number 128, Left Blade and Right Blade. BOSS: Number 128, Left Blade, Right Blade The best thing to do is to have Locke and Gau attack the body. Edgar should do the same if he doesn't have the Drill or Chain Saw. Have Sabin Pummel the body as well. For Cyan just use Quadra Slam so that he can at least destroy the Blades. Watch out for his "Red Feast" attack which will drain you and his "Shimsham" which cuts your HPs in half. This enemy was pretty hard for me but no enough to lose. If your HP is under 100 heal quickly. This boss may be hard but he should be gone in a little time because he doesn't have that much HPs. When the cart hit the brakes courtesy of the MagiTek soldier you'll jump off. One thing you might want to do is to save it just in front of the MagiTek Factory entrance. Walk back to the entrance and Setzer will come to you. He'll take you to your ship but don't think your out of the smoke just yet. Do you really think Kefka will let you get away that easily? BOSS: Crane(left), Crane(right) For this battle Setzer gets to show off his skills for the first time. Just have Setzer and Locke attack. If you have Gau have him use the M-TekArmor if you have if, if not you can use anyone of them. M-TekArmor is just the best one I have found. For Sabin use the Pummel until the one on the left is destroyed. After the one on the left is destroyed used the Aurabolt blitz. If the one on the right goes first just keep using Pummel. Have Cyan use Dispatch if he is the first one to choose an action or Quadra Slam if he is the last. Edgar should use the Drill or Chain Saw if he has it and just a regular attack if he doesn't. Equip Edgar with the ThunderBlade and have his concentrate his attacks on the right one if he doesn't have the Drill or Chain Saw. After this battle is over everyone goes to visit Terra. --Zozo-- Now that you have the essence(magicite) of Maduin, Terra's Father, Terra will awaken and you'll see a flashback of Maduin. You now control Maduin. Sub-Quest: Esper World Walk out of the cave and go north. A woman is blocking you way. When it asks you if you want to take her along select "return together". You will automaticaly be in a house. When the fairy finishes, talk to Maduin. After that you'll go to sleep. When you wake up, exit and go back to where you found the girl and enter the cave in front of you. Talk to Madonna. Two years later, everthings peaceful and you'll be back in the nursing house. Now you find out that Emperor Gesthal has come through the gate and has come to take the espers away. The elder decides to cast a spell to rid the humans out of there world forever. Talk to Madonna and go down and talk to the Fairy at the door. While you two are conversating Madonna runs out the door and with Terra in her arms. Go back into the cave. The spell will be casted and Gesthal and his troops are blown away. Walk forward up to the Esper World entrance. Maduin will try to pull Madonna back and Terra will get blown into the human world along with Madonna and Maduin. Terra fall's into the hands of the Empire after her mother accidentally gave her to Gesthal. This is the end of the flashback. --Narshe(revisited)-- You now have control of the airship. Do as you like but your next destination is Narshe. When you enter a Narshe soldier is waiting to take you to Baron. Baron tells you that Narshe is ready to join the Returners in overthrowing the Empire. But you cannot do it without the help of the Espers. Next stop the Imperial Base but first Kupo!Kupo! When you leave go all the wayto the east side of town and enter the house on the top floor. It is the house to the lower east of Arvis' House. You will see a Wolf, Lone Wolf the pickpocket actually. When he leaves the house follow him. Go up into the Narshe Mines. When you enter in go to the right where there is a opening. Then walk around and head up the stairs and exit to the left. Take the bridge across and up the stairs into another cave. Walk around the box and out. Then head up through the mini battlefield and to the frozen esper Tritoch. Approach the lone wolf once and he will tell you to back off. When he does wait until the Moogle awakens. The struggle doesn't last very long but it is enough to throw both of them to the edge of the cliff. What will you do will you get the "GOLD HAIRPIN" or the moogle from the comercial on TV. Well the choice is obvious. The Moogle. Get acquainted with him and give him a name. After that he'll wait on the air ship and you can leave for the Imperial Base. --Imperial Base-- Enter in but make sure you have Terra in your group, if not they'll they cannot do a thing without her so go back to your airship and change members. When you do have Terra in your group enter in and take the stairs to the north of you. Once up the stairs walk along the northern wall and go down when yo see a steel bridge. Walk out. Not that you are outside I highly recommend saving if you haven't done so in awhile. Also if you don't have at least 15 Fenix downs and about 8 Revivify I recommend you by some. Also green cherries are necessary on occasion. Or what would be even better is if you purchased "Zombie protected" relics the choice is yours to decide. --Cave to the Sealed Gate-- ITEMS: Assassin(dagger), Tempest, Coin Toss, X-Potion, Ether x3, Genji Glove, Tent, Inviz Edge, Water Skean, Remedy, 2000 GP, Elixir, Magicite x3, Atma Weapon Once your in walk around to the right and down the stairs. You'll see a treasure chest which has the Assassin Dagger. I recommend not equiping it right now because almost all if not all of the emenies in this cave are undead and using the dagger will only restore it to full health. Walk down and enter the door. You are now in Basement one. When you walk a little further down you'll see two staircases. Take the one on the left with the treasure chest. In it is the Tempest blade. If you have Cyan in your party equip it. After that walk back around and down the staircase to the right and into the door. Now you are in Basement two. In it are shifting bridges and a lava pit. It's obviously you should try not to fall in the lava but if you do it only a measely eight HP's of damage. Well to get through this walk on to the bridge and then go down. Wait there until the bridge shifts. When it does move, walk around and onto the rock at the center of the pit. Wait for the bridge to shift again so that if you walk two blocks down there will be block to the left. When that happens walk two blocks down and to the left. Wait again for the bridge to shift and walk to the left. Wait for it to shift again. When it does walk over to the treasure chest and pick up the Coin Toss relic. It is for Setzer. If you have a lot of GP to spare you should equip it. The damage it does is the GP you lose because you are throwing money at your enemies. Once you get the Coin Toss quickly move to the right because the bridge will shift quickly. Move back onto the rock at the center of the pit. Now from here go straight up and wait for the bridge to shift so that the there is a block that touches the top wall. Stand on that block and wait for the bridge to shift again. Now you should walk to the right and you'll see a treasure chest. In it is an X-Potion. Now to the left of the treasure chest there should be a bridge. If there isn't wait for it to appear. Now when it does go down it and stand on the tile to the right at the end of the bridge. When you are on it press and hold the down button on the directional pad. When the bridge shifts again walk off the bridge and into the door which leads to basement three. When you are in there walk to the right and go down. Down there should be a treasure chest containing an Ether. Now walk back up around and down the stairs to the left. Once your down the stairs go through the cave and up. Now go down to the stairs and walk up them. You should be on a bridge. In the middle of the bridge lies a wall switch. Pull it and you will fall down. You hear a distant sound. It is another bridge appearing to the northwest direction of your position. Go left and up in the pathway. When you walk up there is a treasure chest to the left. Walk across the bridge and pick it up. The item in it is a Genji Glove. I highly recommend equiping this relic. It doubles you attack power but you lose a little defense. The Genji Glove is still worth equiping. Now head back down and to the right. Go up the stairs and up to the wall with the two switches. Be careful if the one on the right is pulled a Ninja will attack you. If the one on the left is a pulled the the wall in between the two switches will appear a door. When you walk in the will be a Tent and a Save Point. Now leave and walk onto the bridge to the right. There is another switch in the middle but don't worry this one won't fall. Pull it and a staircase will open in the uneven rocks to the right. Walk to the right and down the stairs. When you reach the bottom go down and to the pathway and walk around to pick up the treasure chest that carries another Ether. Go back down and around in the cave. When you in the cave passage go up until you hit a wall. Then walk right then up then left then up and finally walk out. When you walk out go down the flight of stairs under you. The treasure chest will have an Elixir in side. Go back up the stairs and walk to the right. Watch the floor bacause there are switches that you will need to step on but not right now. If you want you can step on the on to the left but all it will do is open up a staircase that leads to a dead-end. Do not step on the right one. Look in between the switches and you will see a wall. Go to the right side of and move around the switch and across the bridge. If you accidentally stepped on the right switch the bridge will collapse. When you are across the bridge open up the treasure chest and "flick the switch" like it says to. Now go back around the switch and down the stairs and across a another bridge. Walk to the left and you will see a floor switch on the top of a slightly elevated rocks. Take the stairs and step on the switch to reveal a doorway just to the northeastern part of the screen. When you walk inside it you will see four treasure chests. Two on the second level and two on the lower level. The first pair contains an Ether and a Magicite. The second pair contains the legendary "Atma Weapon" and another piece of Magicite. I recommend that you give the Atma Weapon your party member with the most HP that can equip it along with the best armor to keep his or her HP up. Go back out the door and walk all the way to the right. Go up the stairs and pull the wall switch. Walk across and pull the second wall switch. Walk up the stairs. Now if you didn't "flick the switch the first time here's you chance. If you already did continue and go up across the bridge and continue up the stairs. Get the treasure chest. Inside that treasure chest is another Magicite. Now go down the stairs and to the right. Head down the long path and enter the door. When you are inside the door walk to the right and head up the stairs and enter the big entrance. You are now at the Sealed Gate of the Espers. Your party members take a good look at the sealed gate and now its all up to Terra. As she walks forward and evil presence is felt. As she turns around Kefka is there to her surprise. He has been following Terra ever since she entered the Cave. Your party members will try to hold off Kefka and his troops as Terra tries to summon the espers. You go into a quick battle with Kefka but all you have to do is wait or hit Kefka once and the gate will open. Once the gate opened espers fly out in a fury. Bahamut, Shiva, Bismark, Zoneseek, and other escape. With those espers escaping it cause a huge amount of energy and collapsed the gate opening. Its time to return to the airship. Exit back and go down the three flights of stairs and out the door south of you. Then go up to the left and around out the door. It would be wise to save it at this point. Now walk into the Imperial Base and exit to the other side. Locke or another party members should be waiting at the door when you try to leave. As you talk you find your next destination to Vector. While your on your airship you see something. Could it be Supermanª, no it just some esper and angry none the less. The airship loses control form the energy of the esper. Your out of control and the ship is still high off the ground what will you do? When the airship crash lands you find yourself on the airship and luckily no one's hurt. You have landed just outside of Maranda. --Maranda-- ITEMS: Remedy If you check one of the crates on the east side of town where there is a lady running in circles there should be a Remedy. --Vector(revisited)-- ITEMS: Revivify, Tincture, Gale Hairpin, Back Guard, X-Potion Now that you have landed your next destination is Vector. Once there go north and up the stairs where you weren't able to do so before. Continue up to the top level until you are on top of the MagiTek Factory. Walk to the left and up the stairs up see ahead of you. A Sentry is there and says that Gesthal has been waiting for them. Follow him up the stairs and through the doors. Keep following and walking up until you see Gesthal. He is sitting in his chair along two guards to the side of him. He has changed sides. Cid enters in and talks to your party members. Talk to Gesthal. Once he is done with your conversation he will finish preparing the banquet. When he leaves you are asked by the sentry to talk to as many guards as possible. Go out and start out on the left side. Once the four minutes are up you are transported to the banquet room. Sit and talk with the Emperor. When he asks you questions answer the best choice. The list for the best choices have been provided for you three being the best and on being the worst: (1) Who should we toast to? 3 - to our hometowns 2 - to the Empire 1 - to the Returners (2) What should we do with Kefka? 3 - Leave him in jail 2 - Execute him 1 - Let him go (3) The Empire is sorry about Doma... 3 - That was inexcusable 2 - Apologize again 1 - What's done is done (4) What about Celes? 3 - Celes is one of us 2 - We trust Celes 1 - was she a spy? (5) Any questions? 3 - Well basically the choice is yours. You can ask as much as you want but the main idea is not to repeat any questions. Also you don't need to ask more than one question. (6) Once the espers learned about what happen they went berserk... 3 - Yes, they've gone too far 2 - But you had unleashed their power 1 - (none) (7) What was that first question you asked me? 3 - (the one you asked him first) 2 - (the one you asked him second) 1 - (one you asked him last) Now Cid asks if you want to take a break. Answer yes and walk around the table and talk to one of the sentries sitting next to Emperor Gesthal. When they ask if they can test your strength answer yes. BOSS(sort of): S.Forces x3 If you have Locke, Mog, and Gau in your group have them use regular attacks. Terra should morph and attack. Edgar should use his Drill or Chain Saw tool command. Sabin should use blitz command "Pummel" and Cyan should use SwdTech one which is "Dispatch". When the battle is over go back to the center chair across from Gesthal and he will ask you if you want to continue. When you do want to continue answer "yes if not "no" but I see no reason not to. (8) Is there anything you would like for me to say? 3 - That the war is truly over 2 - That all you really want is peace 1 - That you are sorry (9) Will you let Emperor borrow Terra's power? 3 - "Yes" the first time 2 - "No" , "Yes" 1 - "No" , "No" Once the banquet is done the Returners meet together and it is decided that Locke and Terra will go while all the others search around. Leave and go out the door and down the stairs. Before you leave a Sentry will stop you and tell you your "reward" for talking to so many soldiers. The rewards are listed as follows: 1 - Imperial Troops withdraw from South Figaro 2 - Imperial Troops withdraw from Doma Castle 3 - The door at the Imperial Base will be unlocked 4 - For the Emperor himself a "Tintinabar" relic 5 - A little something extra, "Charm Bangle" Now go back and to the left. Enter the door and go into the door before the first staircase. In the two treasure boxes are a Back Guard relic and an X-Potion. Now exit back out and enter the door on the second floor. Take the treasure chest next to the last bed on the right. In it is a Tincture. No go back out and down the stairs. Walk around and to the right side. Enter the room on the second floor. Go all the way to the top and pick up the Gale Hairpin relic. Finally go down into the bathroom and pick up the treasure chest containing a Revivify. Now exit Vector. If you got the door to the Imperial Base unlocked you should head there first otherwise head south for Albrook. --Imperial Base(revisited)-- ITEMS: X-Potion, Cherub Down, 8000 GP, Ether, Elixir x2, RunningShoes, Cure Ring, Back Guard, 20000 GP, Wall Ring, 13000 GP, Flame Sabre Now that the door to the Imperial Base is opened you can now pick up some extra goodies. Enter the Imperial Base and walk down and to the right. Enter the door and trun right down the stairs. Go around and through the door. Clear all of the treasure chest. In them are eight thousand GP, a Cherub Down relic, an X-Potion, an Ether, an Elixir, RunningShoes relic, a Cure Ring relic, a Back Guard relic, twenty thousand GP, a Wall Ring relic, and thirteen thousand GP. If you look in the stove there is a Flame Sabre and in the lower right side corner of the room is another treasure chest. It contains an Elixir. When your done exit out and head for Albrook. It is south of Vector. --Albrook-- ITEMS: Tincture, EMPTY x2, Elixir, Potion, Warp Stone Now that your here you will meet up with with General Leo. Before you go check the weapons shop. In the upper right side corner there is a pot carrying a Tincture. And also there are two empty treasure chest at the Armor shop. If you head up to the Cafe walk up the stairs and go right up the little flight of stairs back down and you should see a grandfather clock. Check it for an Elixir. If you head to the Inn, to the right of the building is a barrel with a Potion in it. Now head back down the stairs and straight to the docks. Right when you enter the dock turn right and check the crate. In it is a Warp Stone. Now head on to the boat and talk to General Leo. He will tell you of another Empire soldier coming along. It is Celes, what a shocker. Who every thought she survived that confrontatin with Kefka(refer to the MagiTek Factory scenerio). Also Shadow is coming along as well. In case you don't know garrote is to slit someone's throat(I looked it up). General Leo mentioned some lodging arrangements some head up to the Inn and rest. In the middle of the night, Locke finds Celes staring into the moonlight. Celes runs to the docks despaired and heart-broken as their conversation finishes. When you wake up head down to the docks and talk to General Leo. Now your off to Crescent Island. Your now on the boat and have control of Terra. Go to General Leo and talk to him. When your coversation finishes Shadow come out to sleep under the stars. Terra will head back to her room and now Locke is out of his room too. Oh yeah he is a real sailor. When morning comes you have control of Terra. Walk over to General Leo and talk to him again. When he moves out the way talk to Locke. You have now landed and your just outside of Thamasa. Head north. --Thamasa-- ITEMS: Eyedrop, Soft, Fire Rod, Ice Rod, Momento Ring Now that you are off the ship walk northeast and a keep going until you see a town. Go inside. The first thing you see is a couple of shops and a lady. Walk over to the Item shop but don't walk in. Look to the right of the item shop and you will see three barrels. Walk over to the middle one and search it for an Eyedrop. Also if you go to the relic shop across the bridge look to the right to the shop. You should see three barrels again. Search the bottom one for a Soft. Now go to the straight up from the behind item shop. Go into the house. You will see an aged man standing in front of a door and wearing a cape. Talk to him. When he finishes his pathetic attempt to lie a young girl comes through the door behind him. She carelessly reveals the towns longest kept secret of being able to use magic. She then sees Shadow's dog, Interceptor and decides to go and play with them. When Shadow call for Interceptor you leave his house. Now you are outside his house. Walk around to the left in between the fence and the rock wall behind Strago's house. You see a women using about to use cure magic on a younger one. Now walk over to the right and continue until you see a kid using fire magic. How odd. Oh well maybe you are just tired and are seeing things. Head back to the Inn. Don't worry this time he will be more reasonable with the price. Sleep at the Inn and happy dreams. In the middle of the night, Strago comes through the door of the Inn and yells frantically. There is an emergency because something has happen to Relm. Walk out of the Inn and go to right to the burning mansion where Strago is. Relm has been caught in the fire most likely caused by that kid you saw earlier. Talk to Strago and you will see the house collapse some more. People from all over the town get help to try to clear the house of the fire. Strago then uses magic in front of Locke and Terra against the law of Thamasa. The mayor finally sees the urgency of the situation and decides to use magic as well. People start to gather and combine there magical power to try and stop the flames. Locke and Terra step back as the people show their skill. With all of their efforts the flames still grows and now has engulfed more than half the house. What's worse is the flame just grew stronger despite the magic just used to try to put it out. As the flames grow stronger Strago decides to go in but not without the help of Locke and Terra. Once your inside the house equip Strago with the Flail if you have it because chances are his currently equip weapon is very weak. Also equip Locke with the Shiva summon and Terra with the Blizzard sword if you still have it. Walk straight and through the door. Try not to touch the moving flames because you will engage in battle. Now walk straight and under the crack in the floor into the door. For the next room go left and then up and you should see two doors. Watch out because the first one has four flames that pincer attack your party. If you do so happen to open the door don't go back in because you will be pincer attacked again. Head for the right door. In this next room you will see two more doors. Go into the right one and you will see a treasure chest in it is a Fire Rod. Now go back out the door and take the left one. Again you she two doors. Take the right door again and pick up the treasure chest. In it contains an Ice Rod. I not recommend equiping it now so that you can use it against the coming boss fight. Return and enter the left door. Walk straight into another door and you will see a solitary flame. Walk up to it and it will attack you. BOSS: FlameEater Like the name implies it eats flames so no fire magic. Have Terra morph and attack with the Blizzard sword equipped. Strago should use his "Aqua Rake" lore and if he runs out of magic points use the Ice Rod item. Have Locke start by using the Shiva summon. After that use the Ice magic he learn. If he doesn't have the Ice magic yet just have him concetrate his attacks on the FlameEater. If he has his Safe and Reflect spells up stop using Ice magics and just attack. You can still use the "Aqua Rake" Lore though. Once the battle is over Strago continues to look for Relm. They walk over to Relm only to find that it is too late. They are all knocked unconscious. Interceptor is fighting the flames and out of nowhere is Shadow. He has come to save the day. It slices through the flames and then escapes with a smoke bomb. They find themselves back inside Strago house. He finally confesses to the fact about being able to use magic. When he is done don't leave the room yet. Look to the left of the room and you will see a table. Walk to the left of the table and face left. Search there and you will find a Momento Ring relic. Don't worry about it now it is for Relm only. Once your outside Shadow decide to find the Espers his own way. He has now left you party. Exit the town and prepare for your next destination. Crescent Mountains. --Crescent Mountains-- ITEMS: Heal Rod, X-Potion, ChocoboSuit, Tabby Suit Start off by heading back down where you came and around the mountains. When you are around the mountains go up until you see a cave opening. Head inside it but if you want to save first you can. First head left and you will see a treasure chest. In it is a Heal Rod. Ignore the two doors to the left and to the north because they have nothing in there and lead to each other. Now go up a little and look to right. It might not look like it but you can go through there. Walk right and out the door. Before you exit you notice someone follow you but Locke, Terra, and Strago don't notice it. No that your outside head up around and into the cave opening ahead of you. Your are now inside again. Walk up the stairs and to the right (It might not look like you can walk through because of the angle of the screen). There is another exit you see south east of your position. Exit through there. Now you are in the next room and you see three statues. Walk down and around up to the statues. You will heard a brief summary of the statues. The birth of Magic... 3 goddesses were banished here. In time they began quarreling, which led to all-out war. Those unlucky humans who got in the way were transformed into Espers, and used as living war machines... The Espers created these statues as a symbol of their vow to let the goddesses sleep in peace. The Espers have sworn to keep the goddesses' power from being abused. The goddesses finally realized that they were being laughed at by those who had banished them here. In a rare moment of mutual clarity, they agreed to seal themselves away from the world. With their last once of energy they gave the Espers back their own free will, and then transformed themselves... into stone. Their only request was that the Espers keep them sealed away for all eternity. Don't go any further yet until you equip the Ramuh esper. Now walk back down the steps and to the left. Before you can make it to the exit Ultros stops you and knocks you out for awhile. As Ultros walks up to the Statues your party gets up and teaches him a leeson. BOSS: Ultros (again) Have Terra use Bolt spells if she has them if she doesn't equip her with the ThunderBlade. Have Locke use Bolt spells if he has it and just attack if he doesn't. Have Strago use Thunder Rods as items if you purchased any. Who ever has the Ramuh esper equip like it was explained earlier start the battle off with it. Keep your HPs up high around the 700 area because of his level three magic attacks. If you hit him enough times Relm will appear in the battle. After some convincing Relm joins the battle. Wait for her turn to come up and do her "Sketch" ability. When Ultros sees the potrait he will realize what he is, just an octopus. Soon after he will run away. Now that Relm finally come out of hiding she joins you. Walk into the door on the northwestern corner of the room. There is a save point if you wish to save. Now head down the stairs and skip over the first two trap doors and take the third one farthest right. When you land take the bridge to the right and out the door. There is a treasure chest. In it contains an X-Potion. Now go back in and walk back across the bridge. If you look a little further you should see a wrecked bridge walk to the edge of it and jump off. This should look familiar. go into the room to the lower right again and back around the statues and into the left door. You should be in the room with the trap doors again. This time take the second one farthest to you in the middle. When you land walk up and out the northern door. There should be a treasure chest there with a ChocoboSuit in there for Relm. It should be her strongest armor as of now so equip it. Head back inside and and down to the left door. There should be another treasure chest with a Tabby Suit inside. Enter back inside and direct in front of you is another collapsed bridge. Jump down and go back into the room with the trap doors. Now take the very first one. When you land go up and you should see a door. Exit there. When your outside go left and enter another door. From here walk down and talk to the esper. When you finish the sequence you are automatically taken to Thamasa. --Thamasa-- Some of the Espers in the human world have come along. Yura talks with General Leo of the peace agreements and now the whole thing is settled. But before you thinks its over, Kefka comes out from behind the houses and it killing the espers off one by one and taking their powers. As General Leo tries to stop him he is shot at by a MagiTek Armor and it knocked unconconscious. When he wakes up you now have control of General Leo. There really is no where to go but to talk to Kefka. If you try to leave you are confronted by Guardians. Talk to Kefka and prepare yourself. BOSS: Kefka Basically just keep using your "Shock" ability. When the battle is over you'll find out that you have been hitting a shadow. After awhile Kefka ambushes Leo and kills him. Then the espers come to try and save the day only to be drain and turned into magicite. Could Kefka have really won? When you party wakes up they bury General Leo and give him their last respects. The Airship has been fixed and is now in Thamasa. Everyone now knows of the Empire crooked scheme. When you are out of Thamasa head aboard the Airship. Soon the Emperor and Kefka get there hands on the Statues and now the entire continent of the Sealed Gate is now airborne. Before you leave for the Floating Contient check your equipment. --On your way to the Floating Continent-- You are only allowed three party members so choose wisely. Once you do walk to the front of the airship and get ready to do battle. BOSS: Spit Fire x6, Sky Armor x8 Have Gau use M-TekArmor rage. For Sabin use the "Blitz" Aurabolt. Have Cyan use Dispatch or Quadra Slam. Have Relm Sketch or attack. Have Edgar use the Drill or Chain Saw. Have Mog, Setzer, Celes, Terra, Strago, and Locke just attack. Who ever has Bolt magic use that over all commands besides "Aurabolt". If Locke steals from them he can get a Tincture from each. There is a possibility that you can steal an Elixir from the Spit Fire. This should be a quick battle. After each battle just walk around as if it were random battles until a Ultros and Chupon jump on the back of your airship. Walk up to Ultros and talk to him and it will initiate battle. BOSS: Chupon, Ultros (the last of) This should be pretty easy. Have Gau use M-TekArmor rage. For Sabin use the "Blitz" Aurabolt. Have Cyan use Dispatch or Quadra Slam. Have Relm "Sketch" or attack. Have Edgar use the Drill or Chain Saw. Have Mog, Setzer, Celes, Terra, Strago, and Locke just attack. Who ever has Bolt magic use that over all commands besides "Aurabolt". Concentrate your attacks on Ultros first then deal with Chupon. Once you beat Chupon he cast Sneeze on all your party members and you end up falling off your airship. BOSS: Air Force, MissleBay, Laser Gun The very first thing you should do is cast Regen or the Esper "Kirin" to counteract the effects of the "Missle" attack. For Sabin use the "Blitz" Aurabolt. Have Cyan use Dispatch. Have Gau use the Rhinotaur rage. Have Relm Sketch or attack. Have Edgar use the Drill or Chain Saw. For Strago have him use Aqua Rake. Have Mog, Setzer, Celes, Terra, Strago, and Locke just attack. For those party members who have bolt use it. and if anyone has the Ramuh esper equipped start the battle with it. Also use Bismark if you have it as well. Be sure to keep your HP above four hundred. Also if he launches his Speck don't use magics just regular attacks. --Floating Continent-- ITEMS: Murasame, Monster-in-a-box(Gigantos) for Hardened, Beret, Elixir When you land on the Floating Continent Shadow if there waiting right next to a save point. Once you acquire him walk to the right and up the stairs into what appears to be a dead end and press up against the wall. This should open it up. Now head down and again press right on the wall to open it up. Walk forward and north of you there should be a blue orb. Think of it as a treasure chest and pick it up. In it is the Murasame. Give it to Cyan. Now walk to the right a little. Now if you look at the wall above you there is a space. Press on it and it will open but don't go up the stairs yet. Instead head right and press against the lower wall. This should open up another mini area with a blue orb. Examine it and you will fight Gigantos. When you win he will drop a Hardened. Equip it for Locke. Now go back and head up the stairs you opened a second ago. It will transport you to another pod. Now walk down. You should see stairs. Take them and then walk to the right. It looks like a dead end but above you is a rock inside a crack. Step on the rock and it will expand the floor over to the otherside so you can walk across. When it open you will see another flight of stairs. Head down them and walk across. Again you will see stairs but don't walk down them. Instead stay on that level and walk across to the right. You should see another transport pad. Take it and it will lead you up. Walk off and down. Now you should see two pads. Do not take the right one because it just leads to a dead end. Continue on the left transport pad. When you are off the it walk down and step on the rock. This should move a big wall at the bottom of the screen. Now walk up past the pad you were just on and up the steps. If you look over to you left and up a little you will see another rock. Step on it and the wall below you will move. Go back down the stairs and onto the other side of the wall you just moved(the small one). Look familiar. Walk to the left and the two flights of the stairs. Head forward and keep going right and up the stairs until there is another space in a wall. Don't bother trying to open this on up and just walk to the right of it. You should see a rock ahead of you. Step on that and it will open up a pad. Once it is open walk to the right past it and examine the blue orb at the end for a Beret. Equip it for Relm if she is in your party. If you look down to the left there is a transport pod that leads to a save point if you wish to save. If you do save you will have to step on the rock to the upper left again to open up the pod. Now take the pod that just opened up. When you are off it walk down the step and it will ask you if you want to go back to your airship. If decide you don't want to go to your airship and continue walk to the left. Keep in mind that Shadow will not follow if you leave the Floating Continent. To the left is another moveable wall. Press against it and it will open up. Walk forward and prepare youself. BOSS: Atma Weapon Have Shadow throw Shurikens if he has any. Dart sword at him. Sabin should do his Blitz "Pummel". Cyan should use Dispatch. Have Edgar use the Drill or Chain Saw on him. Have Gau use Were-Rat and poison him or have him use Cure magics. Locke, Strago, Setzer, and Mog attack with regular weapons. Have Terra or Celes use there level two magics if they have any. He is no weak to any element so it doesn't matter which you use. The simpler but longer way to do it is to use Rasp if have the spell. Keep your HP above seven hundred if you want to survive his Flare and Meteo attacks. After this battle you win an Elixir. Shadow split your party again but it no worry he'll be back. You finally see the Stone Goddess statues and the power it holds. Celes come to try and stop Emperor Gesthal. After that he zaps them into stasis. Kefka then hands Celes Gesthal's sword and order her to kill them. Of course she won't do it and stabs Kefka instead. When Kefka get up she tries to use the statues to destroy Celes and your party. Outrage by his decision Gesthal tries to kill off Kefka before more damage is done. Gesthal soon finds out that his magic is useless and is thrown off the Floating Continent by Kefka. Celes then is pushed off as well down and is close to falling. The Statues have been move out of placement and now the world is doomed. But wait there a chance, Shadow jumps over and saves Celes. Then he holds off Kefka while the others escape. Head forward and keep going. When you see a blue orb don't walk to it. Instead go down around and then get it. It contains an Elixir. Walk up to the star and get ready to fight. BOSS: Nerapa Have everyone use regular attacks except Sabin, Cyan, and Egdar. Sabin should use the Blitz "Pummel". Cyan should use Dispatch and have Edgar use the Drill. When the battle is over walk over to the cliff. Choose wait and keep waiting until Shadow comes. You should jump automatically when he comes. If the time says two seconds or less jump because he isn't coming and you didn't make it in time. As the destruction of the world happens your helpless and can't do anything but watch. This is the end of the world as you know it. On that day, the world was changed forever... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The World of Ruin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RARE ITEMS: Fish, Fish, Fish, Fish You find Celes and Professor Cid stranded on the Solitary Island. She finds out that she has been in a coma for one year and has been taken care of by Cid. Unfortunately he has grown health problem and is very ill. Now that Celes is awake she can take care of Cid. Go down and out the door to the shore to catch some fish. Be sure to catch the fastest moving ones only. Continue doing this until Cid eventually runs out of life. Celes being so devisated by this she run to the top of the cliff and jumps of taking a leap of faith. If she dies then Cid wasn't taken good enough care. When she is washed up on shore a pelican soars by her and a bandana is wrapped around him. It seems to be a sign that everyone is alive. You run back to the cabin and find a letter that Cid has made for Celes. His dying wish was that Celes be set free and into the World so that she can find her friends. Cid has provided a raft for Celes. Walk to the left of the stove and down the hidden stairs. You are now on your way to freedom. --Albrook-- This is the nearest town. You are basically here to gather information but all you really need to know is to go north. Nothing really new to get in this town in term of weapons. You might notice that the town has been torched somewhat. I guess that is what happens when you try to go up against Kefka but you'll pay him back once you see him. Exit this town and head north. --Tzen-- ITEMS: Tincture, Magicite, Drainer, Pearl Rod, Heal Rod, Hyper Wrist, Monster-in-a-box x2 It not hard to miss. Just before some mountains is the town of Tzen. Don't worry about that huge tower you walk past. It was build so no one can get inside it from the ground. Apparently the town was shot by the Light of Judgement from Kefka but what's even worst is that he has shot at it again right when you walk in. Everyone is now in an frenzy well except for the shopkeepers. Walk to the northern part of town and you'll see Sabin. He's hold up a whole entire house, whoa!! Talk to him and he will tell you that he can hold it up much longer and will get tired in about six minutes. I recommend equipping a Ribbon relic along with Sprint Shoes or RunningShoes. If you don't have a Ribbon get a Jewel Ring relic from the relic shop. Hurry now you don't have much time to lose. The first treasure chest you should see has a Heal Rod in it. Now walk forward and down into the room. To the upper left corner of that room is a treasure chest with a Pearl Rod. Now head down out the other door and to the left. Another chest is there and this one has a HyperWrist relic in it. Now head down the stairs skipping the treasure chest. There is another chest outside of the room with the stairs but its better if you get it leaving the house. Now when you walk down the stairs head out and around. Pick up the treasure chest. It contains a Drainer sword. Now head up and take the left stairs. skip that treasure to the left and walk up to the kid sitting on the fireplace. Talk to him and he'll follow you out. Go to the right and take the Magicite item in the treasure chest. Exit back up the stairs. Now when you are up the stairs go take the door up. There is the last treasure chest if you followed through. In that chest is a Tincture. Now hurry up and leave to the right. Once your outside Sabin jumps free and the house collapses. Whew that was close. Now Sabin joins your party. Your next destination is east to Mobliz. Head to the east across the bridge and past the trees. --Mobliz-- ITEMS: Fenix Down When you enter here you'll find to dogs and the town trashed. A kid comes running out of a house to get a closer look and runs back in to tell the others that someone's coming. Walk further into town and there you'll see another house next to the one the kid went in. Examine the top barrel that is next to that house and you will find a Fenix Down. Now go into the house that kid went in and you'll see some stairs to the left. Take those stairs and there should be a door. Go inside the and the kid who you saw earlier will stop you from coming any close. Then unexpectedly a person comes out from the back room. It's Terra and she alive and well. Sabin walks up to her and tells her to come along. She doesn't want to refuse but she doesn't want to go either. Terra then runs back into the room. Follow her and talk to her. When she tells you that she has lost the will to fight, leave the town. When you leave town Phunbaba comes up along the shore. Terra comes out and protects the kid from him but soon enough she is no match for his strength. BOSS: Phunbaba (Terra) Just lose. Celes and Sabin then come running back and take over. BOSS: Phunbaba (Sabin and Celes) This guy is really of tough but the good news is that you don't have to kill him, just scare him away. Have Sabin use the Blitz "Suplex" and have Celes use regular attacks. When the battle is over Terra is resting in her bed and is still morally unconfident to fight. When you leave the little kid at the door will give you and item that Phunbaba had dropped while trying to escape. It is a Magicite piece. The essence of Fenrir. I recommend that you equip this Esper as soon as poosible. The spell of X-Zone is very useful and will get you out of a lot of battles easily. Exit and head to the west while still staying on this side of the bridge. While walking up you will see a tower encased inside mountains. Don't worry about for now just keep walking passed it. --Nikeah-- Finally a town with new weapons and armors. Walk in and down the stairs to the lower level. When your at the lower level walk down until you see the Cafe. Walk in and talk to the guy in the lower left corner sitting down at the table. Once he tells his men to leave follow him out and down into the docks. Once your at the docks talk to the thieves. Now head back into the martekplace with the weapon shops and the people running around. To the left of the armor shop is a guy who looks awfully familiar. It Edg.. I mean Gerad. Talk to him and follow him as he walks down around the shops. If he doesn't move thats because your in his way. Talk to him again when he stops in front of the relics shop and the entrance to the docks. Whoops he just blew his cover but he won't admit that he's Edgar, why? Follow him into the docks. When the boat leave Celes and Sabin quickly jump on. Your off to South Figaro. --South Figaro-- When the ship docks follow the thieves up into town. Talk to the first guy into front of the Cafe and he will tell you that the boss of the thieves is on the second floor. Walk into the Cafe and up the stairs. Take the door on the back wall and you'll be inside the Inn. Now walk into the right door of one of the suites and Edgar will be sitting at the table. Talk to him. When one of the thieves comes in and tell the boss to go, exit South Figaro and walk west to the cave. --Cave to the Underground Passage of South Figaro-- When you walk in you'll see Sigfried. Talk to him and he will tell you to follow him into the caverns. Enter the door and walk to the stairs at the right. Now walk down the stairs and around. Go straight up and into the door. Ignore the one with the stairs. Don't worry about missing treasures because there aren't any chests still locked. They were cleared out by the Thieves. Once your through the door you've finally caught up to the thieves. Watch what they do to get across because you'll need to be doing the same. When they are gone walk to the spring and wait for the turtle to be in front of the door. When it is press the "A" button. Once through the door go left into another door. When they leave you can go into the room they were in and take the Soul Sabre from the middle statue. When the thieves leave head back out and talk to the guy controling the submerge mode. Walk up to it and press the "A" button to jump onto it. You land inside another room. Look to the right of the door and there will be a wall switch. Press that swith and it will fill the lower level with water. when it does fill with water walk over to the turtle and jump on it. It will take you to the door on the other side of the room. Walk straight up and there will be a two treasure chest and a save point. Walk up the treasure chest and inside it will be a monster-in-a-box. The monster is a Presenter. If you purchased Trump Darts for Setzer there is the possibility of the Presenter to get dispatched. He gives you the Dragon Claw weapon for Sabin. The other chest has a Man Eater Dirk. Be ready to cure the party member who gets hit with the Pearl magic. He occasionally counter attacks the fire magic with it. Have Sabin use the Blitz "Suplex". For Setzer just use regular attacks. Have Edgar use the Drill or Chain Saw tool. Keep all of your party members' HP above eight hundred to survive his Pearl attack. Whoever has fire two magic should use it when available. A alternative is to cast Vanish and Doom/X-Zone if you have it. When he is defeated Setzer pulls a switch to open the door to the new airship, The Falcon. Walk to the entrance behind the sculpture. You also she memorys and flashbacks of him and Daryl. When you have the airship you see a bird. Follow it to Maranda. --Maranda-- RARE ITEM: Lola's Letter Talk to some of the people in town and they will tell you that an oddball was called people "thou". It must be Cyan. Walk into the house in the upper right hand corner where all the carrier pigeons are and walk inside. Talk to the young lady and she will tell about all the flowers. She puts a letter on the table. Read the letter. The hand writing looks like Cyan's. Lola ask you to attach a reply letter to a carrier pigeon so answer yes and take the letter. Walk outside. Now go around and behind the Cafe and talk to the guy standing there. He is willing to sell you some Rust-Rid but what are you going to do with Rust-Rid. Go back inside and to the other door. Take the bridge across and enter in the other side of the mountain. Go left to the save point and save it. Then go up and step on the switch. A dragon comes flying out at you and attacks. BOSS: Storm Drgn The very very first thing is to NOT equip the Ice Shld you got here earlier. It is weak to one of his attacks and unfortunately that attack is the strongest in his arsenal. The boss is weak against lightning attacks so use whatever lightning attacks you have. A alternative is to cast Vanish and then Doom on him of X-Zone instead of Doom. Have Sabin use the Blitz "Pummel". Even though he is weak against lightning do not use the "Aurabolt" because it isn't as strong as the "Pummel". Have Edgar use the Drill or Chain Saw attack. For Setzer just have him heal your party members or attack. For beating him you get the Force Armor. Equip it to any perty member but Sabin. The armor is better than that of any armor you can buy so far except the Crystal Armor. Now go down and out the door. Keep walking to the right until you see Cyan. Talk to him and let him get everything straightened out. Then he will join your party. When he is in your party head back outside and take the Key in front of the waterfall. When you walk in there ignore the first door and go up the stairs to the second. Walk toward the people around the fire and talk to them. They tell you to reduce the number of people in your party if you want Gau to see you. When your done talking to them go to the upper left corner and take the treasure chest. It has a Rage Ring. Don't worry about it now. Head into the door just to the right of that chest and into a cave opening. Walk all the way to the left as far as you can and take three steps back and then go down. To the left will be a treasure chest in it is a monster-in-a-box. The monster is a Allo Ver. Cast life on it or give it a Fenix Down and you will get the Tiger Fangs. It is for Sabin. Walk up and take about four step to the right and walk down into the door. Continue walkig all the way down until you see a switch to the right of a door. Pull it then go down. take the treasure. It contains a Striker. Head back up and into the cave opening just above the switch on the other side of the wall. Walk in and go down to the other side of the door. Walk around and move into the next room . You should see a save spot. Walk to the other opening after you save it and you will find Shadow. Interceptor is there protecting him. Walk up to Shadow and a SrBehemoth attacks you. BOSS: SrBehemoth First you should cast Poison or Bio on him. Constantly use Fire where possible and watch out for his level three elementals. For the party members who don't have any of these magics have Edgar use the Drill or Chain Saw tool. Have Sabin use "Suplex" and Cyan use Empowerer or Dispatch. Have Setzer just attack. For Celes have her use Runic constantly until he runs out of magic points. Use the Iron Fist rage for Gau. Now take Shadow back to Thamasa and he will wake up.(There might be a typo where "her" is said refering to Shadow. It was suppose to be Relm that was badly hurt but Shadow had to fit in the story I guess. This problem might have been fixed in the later versions). --Thamasa-- Shadow awakes and tells you that he is fine so I guess it is safe to leave him here for awhile. Head outside and talk to the guy in front of the Inn. He will tell you about the demons in Doma castle so that might be an interesting thing to look into. But right now head back to the Veldt Plains. --The Veldt Plains-- Fight about three or four battles on the Plain areas with only three members in your party. Then after the battle Gau will appear. Don't fight him just wait for him to recognize you and he will join your party. Once you have gotten Gau, go to the northwestern part of the world. Remember what that guy said about someone looking for a Striker dirk at the Colosseum. Well maybe you should see who that person is. --Colosseum-- Place you bet on the Striker and send any party member into the ring. You should battle Shadow. When you win he will join you after small chat. Now go to the Solitary Island you first started the World of Ruin on. --Solitary Island(revisited)-- Head into the house and go into the beach where you used to catch fish. Along the shore is a piece of Magicite. It is the essence of Palidor. This is a very good esper to use because it lets all of your party members jump and is the only Esper to give you magic spells such as Haste2 and Slow2. Exit out of there and head for the Triangle Shaped Island to the north eastern part of the world. --Triangular Island(Gogo's Island)-- ITEMS: Genji Armor, Magical Brsh, FakeMustache, Ether, Red Jacket, Zephyr Cape, Hero Ring, Tack Star, Thunder Shld Walk around and get into battle with a Zone Eater. Once in battle wait for everyone to get sucked in by his "Engulf" attack. You will land inside of the island in a cave. Head down and to left. Bump into the miners this time. You will be hit to the lower level. Once on the lower floor there are two treasure chest near you. They have an Ether and a Red Jacket. Equip the Red Jacket to either Sabin or Edgar because it is there strongest armor in the game(at least it's the best one for Sabin). To the right is a floor switch for you to step on so you can get back to the upper level. Try to get across without those miners hitting you. If you get hit you will fall to the lower level. On the bridge where the miners are is a treasure chest with a Genji Armor. The other treasure chest to the left of it is a Magical Brsh. If you go further left you will see another treasure chest. To get it you have to jump horizontally to the left. It contains a FakeMustache relic. Now go back up and to the left stairs. To the left there is a save point. I recommend that you save it because in the next room if are squished no second chances are allowed. Once you wall in quickly wall up to the left and right under the treasure chest. In it is a Zephyr Cape. When the ceiling comes smashing down get ready to move to the next treasure chest when it goes back up. The next treasure chest has a Hero Ring. The next spot to stop is tricky but if you look at the floor the spot that doesn't get smashed is a different shade color so stand on that spot and wait. When it moves again head all the way out to the other side. Skip the treasure chest because if you try to get it this time you will get smashed. Wait for the floor to go back up they get the Tack Star in it. The next place has treasure chest there acting as trampolines. Walk down and take the one that goes left. Then go up and around. When you are about to take the one that goes to the left go back a little and jump downward. You should land and go onto the switch. Now head back and take the left one again. Keep going left and around until you reach the treasure chest with the Thunder Shld in it. The go back and follow the treasure chest in to the next room. In the next room is a person draped cloths. It's Gogo the Mimic. Once you acquire him get out or you can warp out. Go to the upper right room with all the switches and pull the second one from the right. You have just fallen onto the stage. There's the dragon lets get'em. BOSS: Dirt Drgn Since everyone has the Gaia Gear equipped this guy should be no problem. The every first thing you should do is cast the Esper "Fenrir". If you have all this done you should now has absolutely no trouble beating this guy. Have Sabin use the Blitz "Air Blade". For Cyan have him use Quadra Slice, Quadra Slam, Stunner, or Dispatch. Have Celes and Mog attack regularly. Have Gogo mimic Sabin's Blitz "Air Blade". If anyone has Bismark equip use it and it will do some pretty good damage. Once this battle is over he will drop a Magus Rod. Leave the Opera House and go north to the Narshe Area. --Duncan's House-- First off you should make sure you have Sabin in your party. Move to the northeast from Narshe where there are trees that make a cross. Land your airship down there and walk into the center tree of the cross. Enter in to the house and Duncan will be there and he will teach Sabin the Blitz "Bum Rush". --Doma Castle-- Go into Doma Castle and make sure Cyan is in your party. Go up and to the left of the main room is a bedroom from injured soldiers. Have Cyan sleep there. If you don't already have X-Zone equip the "Fenrir" Esper immediately. Your party will wake up but Cyan won't and you are pulled into his subconscious. Also there are three Dream Stooges pull into it as well. --Cyan's Soul-- First Part of Cyan's Soul: You land in some place and your party members are all scattered out. When your first member wakes up walk around to the three doors. Take the left one. You should see your missing party member. Go to the top right where the door is and it should lead you to two other doors a high and low one. It doesn't matter which one you go in because they lead to the same place. Once your through that door you will see another pair of door right next to wach other. Go down to the Dream Stooge and your party member. Now go back up to the left door. Head left and into another door. Then you will see another door. Go down to it and you will face the three Dream Stooges. BOSS: Moe, Curly, Larry First thing you should do is use all available Ice magic and cast it on Curly (Top). Have Shadow use the throwing command and throw Shrikens. Have Setzer just attack. Have Celes use Ice3 if she has it and if not equip her with a pair of Earring relics and cast Ice2. Have Gau use the rage Brawler. Have Gogo use mimic Ice magics. Have Edgar use his Drill or Chain Saw. Have Sabin use the Bum Rush. The next person you should concentrate on is Larry (Left). Use all available Fire magics on him. The last one is Moe. Just don't use Bolt spells and you'll be fine. Also if you leave one Stooge alive and the others have perished he may run away. Once you beat him walk into the door and on to Cyan's Memories. The Phantom Train: RARE ITEM: Lump of Metal ITEMS: Genji Glove, Ice Shld Head left and there will be a save point inside the train. Keep going left to the other train. When you walk in you notice a switch above you. Don't pull it. Instead walk to the right and there will be another switch for you to pull. Pull it and you will see treasure chest open and closed. Remember which ones are opened because you will be needing it soon. Once you pulled the switch head back to where that treasure chest was and take the Genji Glove in it. Now to the left to the book is a treasure chest. Examine it for a Lump of Metal. Now exit out to the left. Go into the next train. Walk around to the treasure chest first before pulling any switches. Take the Ice Shld inside it. Now go up and pull the switches in this order; left, right, middle, right, left. This should let you go through the bottom. Now you are at the place with six open treasure chest. If you forgot the combination: X - closed O - Open O O X X X O Now pull the switch. A wall should move to the left allowing you to go. The next caboose has a save point. After that is the engine room. Go inside and then exit. The MagiTek Experience: You should be in MagiTek Armor now. Head
