It started back in
November of 1997 when a Square fan finished off
Sephiroth, sat back, and was awe-inspired by the
emmense enjoyment and experience of Final Fantasy
VII. This lead to the creation of a simple, yet effective informational guide based
on the title. Since then,
Final Fantasy Online has grown to become one of the
largest and most respected Final Fantasy
information resources available.
There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of
Final Fantasy sites on the Internet, all created by
webmasters devoted to the series. Whether it be a
single title or the entire genre that drives their
passion to create a shrine to celebrate the saga of
this extremely successful role-playing series, it's
clear that Square has had a definite impact.
Final Fantasy Online is a virtual mecca to the
series, covering in detail where strategy guides
fail to explore and where other Final Fantasy sites
fail to deliver. In addition, it's often too
predictable and monotonous to see the same material
and imagery, constantly bombarded across the
Internet, continuously tainted to create an
uninspiring and often incomplete resource. Final
Fantasy Online goes beyond the mundane
characteristics to deliver you a quality
information guide, complete in every detail,
delivered using original composition and structure.
Even the classics, which existed on 16-bit consoles
that seem archaic by today's leading edge
technology, are treated with the same respect as if
they are novel.
It's no wonder Final Fantasy Online has caught the
attention and respect of powerful Internet and
gaming publications such as ZDNet, IGN, the
Official Playstation Magazine, as well as millions
of fans.
It's quite simple. Our goal is to provide you with
information. You won't find Final Fantasy Online
participating in recognition events or contending
with other portals. We're here to provide you with information.
Final Fantasy Online isn't a success by simple design standards.
It's a success by content and material. It's a
success by collecting and organizing information in
a useful, understandable manner. It's a success by
continuing to improve and enhance the experience to
every fan. Our work is not a package of propaganda
to inflate the attention of other sites, but to
expand the knowledge and enjoyment of our users.
This is probably the key objective that sets us
apart from other Final Fantasy sites.
While other Final Fantasy portals constantly improve their layouts and
continue to deliver zero content, we constantly improve our
interface and information database to make accessing our massive 450 page
library easier. While other Final Fantasy portals continue to rival
for supremacy, we stick to the heart of the matter and focus attention
on enhancing the experience for our users.
We're fans, too. By going through the experience of Final Fantasy
titles ourselves, collecting our own information,
gathering our own imagery, and putting together our
own material, we can easily deliver and share
powerful, unique, and streamlined resources without
misappropriation. Our staff is a team of fans from
around the world who each contribute unique and
valuable elements to the whole.
After all, we do it for fun.
When you visit
Final Fantasy Online, you aren't simply surfing an
information guide. You're exploring an entire
community of Square fans, equally devoted to the
series. Join us and make your Final Fantasy
experience as rich and exhilarating as it can
possibly be.
