Final Fantasy Online is always looking to build the perfect team of Square fans to operate our web site. If you're a devoted Square fan and can contribute your unique talents, join us.

Available positions are limited, based on the number of open slots presented on the staff page. Descriptions and requirements are listed to the right. We ask that Final Fantasy Online staff applicants do not presently work for (or operate) other Final Fantasy related or gaming web sites. However, previous experience in the field is very much welcome.

Final Fantasy Online is a non-profit web site and does not pay any staff members.




 N E W S   D E P A R T M E N T
News Director
The News Director oversees news content provided by Final Fantasy Online and determines what to cover and what to ignore. The News Director collaborates and works with all news editors and media correspondents. The News Director can also be an editor him/herself, following the guidelines of the editor position requirements. This job takes a tremendous amount of work and responsibility. Massive knowledge of Square, its products, its company, and its operations is required. This job is for someone who lives and breathes Square and Final Fantasy.

News Editor
News editors provide news coverage for Final Fantasy Online. Whether it be from direct sources or crediting neighboring gaming portals, news editors must have perfect spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills in the English language with experience in news and editorial writing. Knowledge of the Japanese language would be excellent, but not required. News editors don't just spit out facts in a boring, monotonus manner, but provide flare and spice and can retrospect on previous news coverage or intelligent personal reflection to better solidify their article. News editors are required to provide at least 2 updates per week. College education is recommended, but not required. Knowledge of HTML is not necessary.

Media Director
The Media Director oversees all media content provided by news editors and on gaming section media pages. This includes movies, images, and music. Video capture and processing equipment as well as a Playstation 2 is required. This job takes a tremendous amount of work and responsibility. This job is for someone who has an obsession with game media, loves to preorder upcoming titles, and has a sick passion for snapping screenshots and recording movies of Final Fantasy and Square products. All equipment and game products must be legally acquired.
To apply for this position, a listing of available capture (and emulation) equipment and production abilities is required. Simply provide what material you have and how it can contribute to our media section and news coverage. Provide any additional information which demonstrates your ability to handle a media team and how Final Fantasy Online can benefit from your work.

Media Correspondent
